The Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts report significant drops in membership. The Christian alternatives formed out of frustration with the direction the scouting organizations were taking are reporting big membership increases.

Boys are not inside creatures! Boys are made to be outdoors where they can run, climb, build, explore, and conquer until they collapse into the tall grass and get lost in the clouds. It is in the stillness of those moments in the outdoors, that boys begin to converse with God. Discussions deepen (even if only briefly) and transformation occurs. Trail Life USA was designed for boys to "run wild, live free, and love strong."
