"I've often pondered why Christ came at the time he did and not in modern day where his message could be shared instantly around the globe.
Why come during a primitive time when the spreading of his message was done at such a cost of time and travel?
As I pondered this today, I pictured him speaking to a great gathering of men, women, and children... each one staring at a cell phone... some taking pictures, others texting or playing games. I realized that those people in the meridian of time listened intently. They weighed his words, they watched his miracles...
Too many in the modern world are distracted by technology, competing voices, movies, games, a million things. We cannot hear his voice in the cacophony that surrounds us.
In the midst of the madness, there are voices quietly proclaiming his message, testifying that he lives, that he laid down his life for us and took it back again, suffering the penalty of sin for all... Our Paschal Lamb without blemish whose blood protects us so the destroying Angel may pass over.
I add my testimony that he lives. He is the only way to God, our redeemer, our advocate with the Father. He lives and calls to us. Hear him."
