Friends,

We wanted to share a short update from The 5000 Foundation.

We are pausing our sharing of bread for a season. Sean’s health has been very poor this year, and continues to decline. We are pursuing a surgery that can restore his health, but will entail a long and difficult journey. We would be grateful for your prayers for him, for the process ahead, and for our family.

Because we cannot currently deliver bread the way we have in the past, we have also paused actively fundraising. Any gifts received will be placed in The 5000 Foundation bank account until such time as we can start sharing love again.

The bakery and the tech support business are still operating. Those help offset some of the medical costs while we wait.

Thank you for standing with us. We look forward to serving our community as soon as we're able!

I was in the hail storm yesterday. Violent golf ball sized hail. My truck was outside uncovered. I believed God would protect my truck. When I got out to check it, not a dent, not a scratch. Praise Jesus!!!

Tried a new thing today. Set up at 24 and Yoder St in Calhan and gave away bread to those who came by. Probably be doing this kind of thing more in the future. Lesson from today, need signage lol! God Bless =)

God Bless those that have passed on. Remember this Memorial Day is for those no longer with us. Thank you for all you've done. Rest easy, we have the watch!
