The Salvation Army Petoskey, Michigan Corps

The Salvation Army Petoskey, Michigan Corps Our page is to share activities and happenings in and around our corps. The Petoskey Corps was founded in 1901 and serves Emmet, Charlevoix and Antrim Counties.

The mission of The Salvation Army is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. William Booth founded The Salvation Army on July 2, 1865 to care for the poor and save souls. The Petoskey Corps is a church with regular Sunday Worship Services and other fellowship opportunities. The Corps also provides many year-round social service programs and

services for struggling individuals and families. Some examples are: Emergency Financial Assistance to help with utilities, rent, auto repair and other emergencies, a food pantry, community meals, child and senior programs, support services for those recovering from substance abuse and more. Donations to The Salvation Army of Petoskey stay local and $.82 of every dollar donated goes back into the community through various programs and services. Proceeds from the Thrift Store (located at 1615 Clarion Avenue in Petoskey) also support its local programs and services.

Don’t have time to volunteer? That’s what they thought too...

Jaya and her high school club gave just a few hours of their time and raised over $1,000 as part of the Red Kettle Campaign. ❤️

This National Volunteer Week, their story is proof that you don’t need a lot of time to make a difference—just a willingness to show up. Read more: https://bit.ly/4mSnKVU

It’s National Volunteer Week. 💙

Across our communities, volunteers show up every day to serve, support, and make a difference—often in ways that go unseen.

This week, we’re celebrating the people who make it all possible and inviting you to be part of it.

ATTN: Due to flooding, if you are headed to our community center building… the bottom of Division is blocked where it meets 31 if you’re coming from the north. There’s also a detour off 31 at Little Caesars. If you can get to Atkins and turn on division or come from Pickerel Lake and to Mitchell, that is the best way to get here as of now.

Hunger can happen to anyone, especially during times of crisis.

That’s why we're dedicated to providing hunger relief through local food pantries and meal programs across our division. ❤️

Help neighbors in need by donating nonperishable food, volunteering your time and giving to hunger relief programs 🤝 salarmy.us/4b7jMnZ
