I am pleased to announce that the Prince George Regional SCLC will be celebrating our 2023 Third Annual Future Leaders' Gala on October 21, 2023 at 6:00 pm. Every year the PG Regional SCLC awards a $1000 scholarship to a high school senior that demonstrates community service, advocacy, and leadership. This year we are proud to announce that we will be granting two high school students with the esteemed Rev. Dr. Sylvia Kelsey Tucker Scholarship Award. Rev. Dr. Sylvia Tucker is a living legend and civil rights icon who has dedicated her life to advocating for justice and equality and is listed in the Library of Congress. We want to thank all businesses and individuals for your generous donations to these scholarships. Without your donations and purchase of tickets to the Gala, these scholarships would not be possible. The Gala is almost sold out!! Congratulations to Rev. Dr. Sylvia Tucker for receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award presented by the Prince George Regional SCLC at the First Annual Future Leaders' Gala on October 26, 2019 at the Lee Club, Ft Lee. The Rev. Dr. Sylvia K. Tucker Scholarship Award was also presented to the parents of Christopher Skipper of Prince George and Vadaysha Jefferson of Dinwiddie. Due to the generous donations from churches, businesses, and individuals, the scholarship was increased from $500.00 per student to $1000.00 per student. The Prince George Regional SCLC thanks everyone for contributing to the scholarship, and making this gala a huge success!
