Today, we had the privilege of presenting a $5,000 Medical Aid Grant to Hannah Joy Davis, one of the beneficiaries of our Slawburger Chase 5K.

Hannah Joy has been courageously enduring treatment since 2023 for Fibrolamellar Hepatocellular Carcinoma, a very rare form of liver cancer that primarily affects adolescents and young adults, particularly teenage girls.
While no amount of financial assistance can remove the challenges that come with a cancer diagnosis, we hope this grant helps ease some of the burden and allows Hannah and her family to focus on what matters most—her treatment, healing, and time together.

This grant was made possible through the generosity of our sponsors, runners, volunteers, donors, and everyone who supports the Slawburger Chase 5K each year. Your support directly impacts families in our community who are facing some of life’s most difficult battles.

Please join us in continuing to pray for Hannah Joy and her family as she continues her cancer journey.

We have given out over 120 Backpacks of Hope through our Foster Closet this year!

Because of the increase in need we are running low on filled backpacks! We NEED your help! This is a great summer project for your family or your small group to get involved in!

We also have had a lot of requests for Needough! Remember if your kids love it children and teens in foster care do as well! We would love to have some to give out to make these kids feel special and like they fit in!

Are you a local foster/kinship family in need of support?

Statistics tell us that 50% of foster families burn out after the first year due to a lack of support.

This should not be true!

We want to come alongside foster and kinship families who are in need of items for the children/teens in their care.

By receiving these brand new items, families caring for children/teens in foster care can continue to say “YES!” to providing a comfortable and loving home.

‍▶️All wish list requests will receive a Backpack of Hope which includes basic toiletries and some school supplies.

**Foster families must live in Lincoln, Bedford, Coffee, Franklin, Giles, Marshall, and Moore Counties (TN) and Madison, Jackson, and Limestone Counties (AL)

Come join us Next Thursday for Foster Care 101 at 6pm at Riverside Christian Academy!

This is a great time to learn more about becoming a foster parent AND learning how to support foster/kinship families in the area.

You will hear from Youth Villages as well as a few local foster families. It is a great place to ask questions and learn!
