Do you remember where Jesus found you? You may not be where you want to be yet, but thank God, you’re not where you used to be.

Maybe there was a pit. Maybe there were chains. Nights you didn’t know how you’d make it through. But somewhere along the way, He came looking for you. And when Jesus Christ gets ahold of a life, He doesn’t just change where you’re going, He changes WHO you are.

The sorrow loses its hold. Shame doesn’t get the final word. Darkness gives way to Light. The one who was mourning is dancing, the one who was crying is laughing, and the one who was bound can lift their hands and say, “Look what the Lord has done!”

That’s a testimony. Not that we never fell, but that HE BROUGHT US OUT and set our feet upon a Rock.

Believer, never lose the wonder of what Jesus has done for you. Remember where He picked you up, look where your feet are standing now, and sing about Jesus.

Sing about His goodness.
Sing about His mercy.
Sing because redemption has become YOUR story.

We’ve got something to sing about.
We’ve got Someone to testify about.

JESUS.

When you know where the Lord found you and realize where you could have been without Him, praise comes from a different place. When He truly gets ahold of a life, it isn’t just a moment of emotion, it changes the direction of that life. The things you once loved lose their hold, the past no longer has the final word, and a heart that was once turned toward the world finds itself wanting to live for one purpose: to bring glory and honor to Jesus Christ.

That’s why we sing, testify and shout!
We know what we’ve been redeemed from, and we know Who did the redeeming.

There are moments when you may not be able to change the circumstance but you can change the atmosphere.

When your heart is overwhelmed, when your body is weary, when fear is pressing in and your thoughts are pulling you down, you don’t have to surrender your atmosphere to what you’re feeling. Turn your thoughts back to His Word, let worship rise up and let faith speak louder than fear.

That atmosphere of faith can begin right where you are, in your heart, in your home, in your car, in the middle of the struggle. When everything around you says to be discouraged, you can still choose to believe what Jesus said...
