The Tom Vander Woude Story Presentation: Friday, Nov13 at 7:00 PM will be held at St. Anthony Maronite Catholic Church (4611 Sadler Rd, Glen Allen).
On September 8, 2008, Tom Vander Woude gave his life by jumping into a septic tank to lift and save his youngest son, Joseph (who has Down syndrome), from toxic fumes.
The Diocese of Arlington has officially moved forward with the investigation into Tom Vander Woude's life and virtues, appointing a postulator in Rome to study his potential canonization.
Chris Vander Woude, 5th son of Tom, will tell the story of his father's heroic life and death, which have led to the Cause for Tom's Canonization. Tom's story of faith, family, and sacrifice is a true inspiration for Catholic men, especially fathers!
