Lord our God, in your wisdom and love you surround us with the mysteries of the universe. Send your Spirit upon these students and fill them with your wisdom and blessings. Grant that they may devote themselves to their studies and draw ever closer to you, the source of all knowledge. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

For our Teachers & Staff:
Lord God, your spirit of wisdom fills the earth and teaches us your ways. Look upon these teachers. Let them strive to share their knowledge with gentle patience and endeavor always to bring the truth to eager minds. Grant that they may follow Jesus Christ, the way, the truth, and the life, forever and ever. Amen.

Have you been to an SDCCW (Springfield Deanery Council of Catholic Women) meeting? This group connects the Catholic women of all ages within our Springfield Diocese. Many parishes in our deanery, there are 5 deaneries in the diocese, have joined this group with their own parish councils of Catholic women.

St Peter is joining those parishes with its inaugural meeting on Thursday, August 27 at 6:30PM. All ladies of the parish are members, and this meeting is information only so we can get your input!

Please sign up in the Annex and we hope to see our moms, daughters, aunts, grandmas, sisters, cousins, and best friends on 8/27!

St Peter and Holy Family jointly host our young parishioners, PreK& K (3Yrs to K) - 6th grade, in PSR (Parish School Religion) and our 7th-12th graders through our youth group, affectionately named Holy Sparks.

PSR meets most Sundays at St Peter Parish Center after 8AM Mass Sunday 9/13/26 to 4/11/27. We teach our kids to know, love and serve God through lessons that are both fun and engaging. We have a sacramental prep and retreats for our 2nd graders preparing for reconciliation and for our 3rd graders who are preparing for both confirmation and holy communion per our diocese direction.

Holy Sparks meet at St Peter Parish Center in the evenings every 2nd & 4th Sundays, 9/13/26 to 4/11/27. In our inaugural year of 2025/26 school year we made 2 pilgrimages, completed community and parish service projects, as well as speaking on seasonal liturgy, defending our faith, and deepening or discovering praying the rosary, stations of the cross and eucharistic adoration. 2026/27 is shaping into another great year and we plan to fundraise to participate in larger Catholic youth gatherings.

Our week of crazy skits, songs, mass, adoration, lessons on the commandments and luminous mysteries is a wrap! Thank you to all the parents for bringing your kids, there was a lot of joy and fun each day. Thank you to all our parish volunteers that filled each needed job! Totus Tuus, Totally Yours, we will see you next year.
