Today’s Gospel reminds us that we often look for Jesus for what He can give us, instead of for who He truly is. The people in the reading were searching for Him because they had been fed—because their physical needs were met. But Jesus gently redirects them, saying not to work only for food that perishes, but for the food that leads to eternal life.

That hits close to home. It’s easy to go to God only when we need something—help, answers, comfort. And while He does care about those things, He wants something deeper: a real relationship with us. He wants our hearts, not just our requests.

Jesus tells them that the work of God is to believe in Him. Not complicated rules. Not perfection. Just faith—trusting Him, even when life is uncertain, stressful, or doesn’t go the way we planned.

In our everyday lives—school, work, family, everything going on—it can feel overwhelming. But this Gospel is a reminder to shift our focus. Instead of just asking, “God, what can You do for me?” we can start asking, “God, how can I grow closer to You today?”

When we do that, everything else starts to fall into place.

Let us pray 🙏🏽

Lord, help me to seek You for who You are, not just for what You can give me. Strengthen my faith, especially when I feel unsure or overwhelmed. Teach me to trust You more each day and to find lasting peace in Your presence. Amen.

Today’s Gospel reminds us of the voice of the Good Shepherd—how He calls each of us by name and leads us with love and purpose. In a world full of noise, distractions, and opinions, it can be hard to recognize His voice. But the truth is, Jesus is always speaking to us—through our hearts, through Scripture, and through the quiet moments we often overlook.

Sometimes we try to lead our own lives, thinking we know what’s best. But the Gospel invites us to trust more, to listen more, and to follow where He leads—even when it’s not easy or doesn’t make sense right away. His path is one of peace, protection, and true life.

Just like a shepherd never abandons his sheep, Jesus never leaves us. He knows us, He sees us, and He loves us more than we can imagine.

Let us pray 🙏🏽

Lord Jesus, help me to recognize Your voice in my life. Quiet the distractions around me and within me so I can truly listen. Guide my steps, even when I feel unsure, and give me the courage to follow You with trust. Remind me that I am never alone, and that You are always leading me with love. Amen.

Let us pray the rosary this beautiful morning 🙏🏽 🌹

As we reflect on today’s Gospel we’re reminded that God is our shepherd—the one who knows us, calls us by name, and leads us toward a full and meaningful life.

To the Class of 2026, as you step into this next chapter, trust that voice guiding you. There will be many paths and many distractions, but stay close to what is true, what is good, and what brings you peace.

Walk with confidence, knowing you are known, you are called, and you are meant for something great.

Wishing the Class of 2026 blessings, courage, and success in all that comes next 💛❤️💜🖤🎓
