Our own Rector, Lissie Rhoton, was part of the inaugural cohort of the Roots & Wings intergenerational fellowship. Intergenerational worship is not only about involving kids fully in our worship, but more fully about opening up worship to all generations and helping us relate to each other as the Body of Christ across any difference. It is a way of making sure our liturgy touches and connects with each of us where we are and helps connect us to each other.
CONGRATULATIONS to the nine Roots & Wings Fellows who recently completed the inaugural Roots & Wings program designed to equip Episcopal congregations to live into the fullness of the body of Christ by equally valuing and actively engaging the gifts and needs of all ages in liturgical worship.
For the past eight months, the Fellows explored intergenerational worship through presentations from expert-practitioners, one-on-one coaching, reflection, and peer collaboration.
