"Beautiful Blessings"
I came to this church in a time of uncertainty for the future. The many years of stable worship leadership from Drew & Haley had come to a natural conclusion with them going to college or entering their career. A new era was forming and the path was not entirely clear.
In my heart, I knew we needed consistency and that the worship recordings we were singing to most weeks missed that key authentic element that only soul-reaching worship music can provide.
We agreed as a leadership to offer a salary outside our immediate budget scope in hopes of hiring someone in a difficult worship leader landscape.
We posted our position and heard nothing for several months. All the while God was preparing that person for a journey they didn't know was coming. Then, God brought us Devon. He needed a safe place of encouragement to be able to grow into the leader God intended all along.
He is well on his way.
After several months in his new position, others have entered the fold and Thursday night left my heart overflowing from these beautiful blessings.
To see these three people practice together for Sunday worship was a huge answer to prayer.
There is nothing more powerful than when Christ-centered biblical preaching and authentic worship meet.
Lives are changed!
Souls are reached!
Our Heavenly Father is glorified!
That, brothers and sisters, is the purpose of Church!
