Dear Friends,

This Sunday, May 31st, we gather for Trinity Sunday — a day that reminds us that at the heart of God is relationship, connection, and love.

In a world that often feels divided, exhausting, and uncertain, we will hear again the beautiful creation story from Genesis and Jesus’ promise from Matthew’s Gospel: “I am with you always.”

Our worship this week will focus on a simple but hopeful truth:
God is still creating.

Still creating light in dark places.
Still creating hope in weary hearts.
Still creating community in a disconnected world.

Together we will sing, pray, reflect, and remember that faith does not require perfect answers — only open hearts willing to receive and share love.

Whether you have been in church your whole life, are carrying questions, or simply need a place to breathe and reconnect, you are welcome here.

Worship begins Sunday at 9:00 a.m. at Peru Community Church.

Dear Friends,

This Sunday, we gather for a meaningful and joy-filled morning of worship as we celebrate Pentecost Sunday, the sacrament of Baptism, and pause to remember the deeper meaning of Memorial Day weekend.

Pentecost reminds us that God’s Spirit is still moving—like wind in the sails—bringing new life, new possibility, and new connection even in uncertain times. During worship, I’ll share reflections from my recent journey to Alaska and how experiences on the sea, in the mountains, and in moments of unexpected connection helped me think differently about faith, movement, and learning to live more fully in the present moment.

This Sunday’s message is titled:

“Wind in the Sails: Pentecost Is a Way of Life”

We will also celebrate the baptism of children in our church family, giving thanks for lives still unfolding and for the community that surrounds them with love and support.

And on this Memorial Day weekend, we will remember with gratitude those who gave of themselves in service to others, while praying for peace, healing, and hope in our world today.

Worship will include music, prayer, Scripture, reflection, and a spirit of welcome for all.

Whether you’ve been attending for years or have been away for a while, we would love to have you with us this Sunday.

Come as you are.
Come ready to breathe deeply.
Come ready to open the sails a little wider.

☀️ Summer Worship on Zoom ☀️

Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m.
Beginning June 3

This summer, we’re creating space in the middle of the week to pause, reconnect, and breathe. Join us on Zoom each Wednesday evening for a simple, meaningful time of worship designed to ground you in faith and community—no matter where summer takes you.

Each service will be approximately 20–30 minutes and will include:
• A Greeting
• Opening Prayer
• Scripture
• Message
• Joys & Concerns
• Evening Prayer
• Blessing

By gathering midweek, this rhythm allows you to enter your weekends with more freedom—making space for rest, travel, family time, and the beauty of the season, while still staying connected spiritually.

A Zoom link will be provided in mid-May.

Wherever you are this summer—on the porch, at the lake, or on the road—you are welcome to join us. 💛
