Genesis 19:12-14 NIV
[12] The two men said to Lot, “Do you have anyone else here—sons-in-law, sons or daughters, or anyone else in the city who belongs to you? Get them out of here, [13] because we are going to destroy this place. The outcry to the Lord against its people is so great that he has sent us to destroy it.” [14] So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who were pledged to marry his daughters. He said, “Hurry and get out of this place, because the Lord is about to destroy the city!” But his sons-in-law thought he was joking.

Observation: Lot had become so ingrained in the culture of the wicked city that his witness was no longer believable. We live in this world but not of this world. Do not compromise God's Word or instruction. It's more important to stay Biblically correct over what the world condones.

When you go through deep waters, I will be with you. When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown. When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up; the flames will not consume you.

“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” — Hebrews 11:1 (NIV)

Faith is more than optimism or wishful thinking. Biblical faith is rooted in the character of God — trusting Him even when circumstances are unclear.

Hebrews 11 reminds us that faith often involves waiting, obedience, perseverance, and trusting God before we see the result. The people throughout Scripture did not always have full clarity, but they chose to trust God anyway.

As believers, we are called to walk by faith, not merely by sight.

What does trusting God look like in your current season?
