Please plan to visit us for the Perrysburg Memorial Day service hosted by the after the parade 🇺🇲. Our Mausoleum built circa 1915 will be open to visit. The interior of our Mausoleum recently went through some repairs in our ongoing efforts to be the best stewards we can of this historic Perrysburg structure. Also, some may not know that directly behind the Mausoleum in the bank of the Ravine are 2 additional inground Mausoleums from the late 1800's.

The Perrysburg Police Division would like to remind residents and visitors of temporary traffic impacts associated with the annual American Legion Post 28 Memorial Day Parade & Ceremony.

🚧 Expected Road Closures / Traffic Delays:
Motorists should expect temporary street closures, traffic restrictions, and delays in the downtown area before, during, and shortly after the event, particularly near:

• Louisiana Avenue & Fifth Street
• Indiana Avenue (Louisiana Ave. to Cherry Street)
• Surrounding downtown streets and parade staging areas

Please use alternate routes when possible and allow extra travel time.

👀 Best Public Viewing Areas:
• Louisiana Avenue between Fifth Street & Indiana Avenue
• West Indiana Avenue from Louisiana Avenue to Cherry Street

🎖️ Following the parade, a Memorial Day Service will be held at Fort Meigs Union Cemetery, featuring a wreath placement, reading of veterans’ names, 21-gun salute, and remarks honoring our nation’s fallen heroes.

🛑 Safety Reminders:
✔️ Follow officer directions and posted barricades
✔️ Use designated crosswalks and supervise children closely
✔️ Help us maintain a safe and respectful atmosphere honoring those who gave their lives in service to our country

We thank our community for its patience, cooperation, and continued support as we honor Memorial Day together.
