It is with genuine sorrow that we share the passing of Kelly Moore Coalter, who went home to be with the Lord after a brief but faith-filled fight with cancer. Our hearts are heavy, yet we find comfort in the hope of Heaven and the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Everyone who was blessed to know Kelly experienced her contagious love for life, laughter, and the Lord. She reflected the heart of God in the way she loved, encouraged, and joyfully served others as a wife, mother, friend, and ministry partner to Presiding Bishop Tim Coalter.

We ask you to join us in prayer for Bishop Coalter, their children, and grandchildren, that God’s peace and strength will surround them during this difficult time.

Service arrangements will be announced once available. Thank you for your support and prayers.

I have known Marcus Lamb since before the Daystar Television Network began. I preached for him when it was just a local station. He and his wife, Joni, built Daystar barehanded. He and I were both born in 1957. We were bootstrap baby boomers who God blessed to build something for Him!

But what I liked best about Marcus was that he was a good man. He and I were friends. Like all friends, we didn’t always agree. Nevertheless, we always listened and respected each other, and always checked on each other. We broke bread at each other’s home. He read every book he could read about our culture and history. He was always trying to be more aware. Indeed, he was a merciful man who had a kind soul. He didn’t just love Jesus, he also loved His people. He was generous. He even helped us and contributed to our Texas Offenders Reentry Initiative (T.O.R.I.) and asked his audience to do the same!

I sent him a prayer last night that Joni said uplifted him. But God’s decisions are His own. I shudder to think of Joni, who was fighting alongside him for his life! His children adored him! He was so proud of them!

He was forever sending me pictures of who he played golf with, preached for, or the latest movie he watched or book he read. There was something good and kind and balanced in him that everyone didn’t get to see. He was a grateful soul who now gets to see Jesus face to face! I bet his face is wet with tears of joy! He will be welcomed in heaven but missed on earth.
