Hebrews 1 says Jesus sustains all things by His powerful word. Not just the stars and the oceans, but your Monday morning, your hard conversation, your unanswered question. He's not detached from the details of your life.

This Sunday we're continuing Great & Good with a look at the Son. Hebrews 1:1-4 tells us Jesus is the radiance of God's glory and the exact representation of His being, and that He holds everything in the universe together by His powerful word.

If you've ever wanted to know what God is actually like, this is the Sunday to be here. We'll dig into who Jesus is and why that matters for your life right now. Worship starts at 10:30 AM, and we'd love to save you a seat at FB Perry.

"God is the perfect father. God isn't the man who disappointed you..."

Relationships can be difficult, especially familial ones. From a young age, our fathers shape how we see the world and ourselves through their words, actions, and even their inaction. In a world marred by sin, even the best earthly fathers fall short, and broken fathers can leave deep wounds.

But we have a Perfect Father who loves us unlike any other. God lavishes His love upon us, welcoming us into His family even when we were once His enemies. He doesn't simply fix our problems and send us on our way; He claims us as His own, walks alongside us through this broken world, and transforms us from within.

Our Heavenly Father doesn't leave us as orphans or as we are in our spiritual brokenness. He lovingly heals our wounds, teaches us to live and love like Him, and shapes us into the people He has called us to be. Adopted by him, he journeys with us for the rest of our days, letting all know, "This one's mine."

So many times, we bear this unnecessary weight of feeling like we have to earn our place. That's what the world has told us most of our lives, right? Whether it's at work, at home, in our community... why should that be any different with God? That's the point! He is not AT ALL like the world; he is completely different! 1st John 3 helps us remember that we're children of God, not because of how great our performances have been, but because He is love and he first loved us.

That means your standing with God isn't up for review every time you fail. You belong to Him. Let that truth sit with you this week, especially on the days you feel like you don't measure up.

This Sunday we're continuing our Great & Good series by looking at God as Father. 1st John 3:1 tells us not only what kind of love the Father has for us, but also what kind of father He is and what his children look like compared to the rest of the world. That's not a title we earned. It's a gift He gave us.

If you've ever felt like you had to earn God's love or wondered what exactly being a child of God looks like, this Sunday is for you. We'll be in 1st John 3:1-10 looking at what it really means to belong to Him. Doors open early, worship starts at 10:30 AM, and there's a place for you here.
