Faith Moves Mountains

Faith moves mountains because faith moves the believer. It strengthens your steps, steadies your heart, and sharpens your vision.

Matthew 17:20 ~ And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

The faith that Jesus is referring to here is not wishful thinking; it is the confident trust in God’s character, God’s power, and God’s promises. Jesus uses the image of the mustard seed – the smallest know plant seed in that day – to show the absolute strength of faith. Power and the outcome are not based upon the size of our faith, they are based upon the object of our faith. It is not in something; it is in Someone; it is in rooted in Christ our Savior and, thus, in God’s ability. Our God “… is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us” (Ephesians 3:20). Our faith is our spiritual vision that sees what God can do even when circumstances look contrary. He makes the impossible possible.

Real mountains today are made of all types of rock and soil. But the mountains in our life are made of pressure, pain, and a multitude of problems, difficulties, and hardships. Some may be emotional – fear, anxiety, grief, disappointment, discouragement, etc. Some may be physical – sickness, disease, weakness, limitations, etc. Some may be spiritual – addictions, temptation, doubt, spiritual warfare, etc. These mountains may feel as though they are immovable. But with God nothing shall be impossible to those who believe.

The Psalmist said, “From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I” (Psalm 61:2). Our mountain may rise over us with great power and pressure causing fear and anxiety. They may weaken our resolve and our ability to keep moving forward. But our Lod Jesus here teaches us that this does not have to be the situation of the circumstance. He said that faith, as small as it may be, when placed in Him with wholehearted confidence, with no doubts, no wavering, can accomplish the greatest results (James 1:5-8). Our faith does not ignore or deny the mountain; it declares that our God is greater than the mountain. It is not telling God how big our storm, problem, or mountain are; it is telling the storm, the problem, and the mountain how big our God is.

Jesus teaches us in Mark 11:22-23, “And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.” Our mountains are removed when we come to God with full assurance in faith and pray boldly, obey fully, and persist faithfully. Faith will speak to the mountain, not because we have power, but because God will respond to our faith and trust in Him. Mountains are moved by faith, but we must be aligned with the Word of God, following the will of God, in the way of God. Faith is moving forward when the path is steep and refuses to quit when that seems the easier route to take. When progress feels slow and it seems we are making no headway, we trust God and keep moving forward. Faith moves mountains because faith moves us. True faith looks for the way to keep going with courage and dependence upon God.

When Israel left Egypt and stood trapped between the Res Sea and the Egyptian Army, they were facing a mountain of impossibility. The sea blocked their forward movement and thus their future. The army was threatening their present progress and livelihood. Fear arose in the hearts of the people, but Moses spoke in faith, “Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace” (Exodus 14:13-14). God removed their present negative situation and cleared the way for their forward progress and success. Today, this may be a situation with someone battling a long-term illness, a financial collapse, or some overwhelming grief. But they pray and talk with God regularly, they move forward one step at a time, and they fully trust the Lord to remove the mountain and bring them through the situation. Slowly but surely, God opens doors, provides needed strength, and clears a path forward. The mountain moves, maybe not immediately, but it does move undeniably.

You may be facing a mountain today. It may be something so heavy it is hard to breathe, or something intimidating and fearful, or something that is deeply personal. Do not let it weaken your resolve to keep moving forward. God specializes in doing what nobody else can do. Your faith does not demand instant results; it just expects God to work in His perfect timing. Every prayer you pray, every step you take forward against the odds, every moment you refuse to quit and give up, these are the shovel in your hand. So, keep digging, keep trusting, and keep believing. The God who is able to move mountains, the one who literally spoke the worlds into existence, is the God who is the power within you. Your mountain may be tall, it may rise over you, but God is much bigger than the mountain. Your burden may be heavy to bear, but God’s strength in you is far greater. Just learn to trust Him, to breathe easily, and press on toward tomorrow in hope.

Serving Until He Comes

We are to serve Christ in our daily stewardship of all that He has blessed us with and that demands our faithfulness to stay the course and keep moving forward until He returns.

Luke 19:13 ~ And he called his ten servants, and delivered them ten pounds, and said unto them, Occupy till I come.

We have here a call to faithful service. We have spent the past two weeks looking at our preparation to serve. We could divide the past ten devotions into these three categories: Preparing the Heart, Preparing the Hands, and Preparing for Impact. We are to stay active in service, engaged in ministry, and remain fruitful until He returns. This is what it means to be Christian; it is a way of life. Being saved does not make you a Christian, serving in ministry is what makes you a Christian. And as a Christian we must serve; it is not an option; it is the expectation of every born-again believer.

This is what Christ is teaching us in this verse. He says, “Occupy till I come.” This phrase comes from the Greek verb “pragmateuomai” which means to trade, to do business, to invest and increase, and to actively manage what has been entrusted. This carries the idea of active, engaged stewardship, not passive waiting. We are commanded to work, labor, and serve in the Lord’s work; in the cause of Christ; in the harvest of souls. Then we are to teach and to train them up in the way they should go. Jesus said in Matthew 28:20 that we are to teach them “ … to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you.” We are to advance His interests until He returns. As a Christian we are to be involved in faithful activity, not to warm a pew in idle anticipation.

We have been given gifts and abilities that we are to use in the Lord’s service. He gives us gifts and abilities and then opens opportunities to for us to use them to influence and impact the world for the glory of God and for the honor of Christ our Savior. The Lord has given each of us life and breath in this world, and we serve Him by using what He has given us –time, talents, treasures, testimony, and truth. Remember that “It is required in stewards that a [person] be found faithful” (1 Corinthians 4:2). To live Christian, you must be a good steward that is faithful to show up, step up, and stay up in the work God has placed in your hands.

When we begin our service to the Lord, we may do it out of duty because we feel that we must serve. As we stay faithful, we come to a place where we do it out of dedication because we believe we ought to serve. But as we walk daily with the Lord, we come to the place where we do it out of devotion because we desire to serve willfully and joyfully. The closer we get to the Lord, the more we know about Him. The more we know about Him, the more we understand Him. The more we understand Him, the more we will love Him. True service flows from a heart that knows what Christ did for us, what He is doing for us, and has the vision of what He is going to do for us. We serve by our love for Him. Jesus said, “If ye love me, keep My commandments” (John 14:15). He ties our love for Him to obedience and service. Service is not mechanical; it is the overflow of our love, affection, devotion, and gratitude for Him.

If we are going to be faithful, if we are going to be good stewards, we must have consistency in our service. It is to be actively engaged every day, not just when we feel like it, not just when things are going well, not just until we get tired. Our obedience to His commands, our fulfillment of His requirements, and our faithfulness in His assignments reveal a heart that chooses His will over our own. We are told in Colossians 3:23, “Whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord.” Our faithfulness is measured in our daily obedience, not in our occasional enthusiasm.

In the parable that we take our Scripture from today we read of the nobleman who was going out of town to gain a kingdom for Himself. He gave his ten stewards ten pounds and told them, “Occupy till I come.” One took his pound and did exactly as the nobleman told him – he traded, conducted the nobleman’s business, invested and increased what he had been given, and actively managed what had been entrusted to him. His one pound produced ten pounds (verse 16). When the nobleman returned, the steward’s faithfulness in the unseen moments brought him great reward – he was made ruler over ten cities in the nobleman’s kingdom.

Just as the nobleman returned, so Christ will return to take account of what you have done with the life you have been entrusted with – your talents, time, and treasures. Remember that your work is not in vain. Our Lord sees every act of faithfulness. He is faithful to remember all you have done, whether good or bad (2 Corinthians 5:10). You will be rewarded for what you have done, even what has not been seen by others. So, keep showing up, keep stepping up, keep staying up, keep sowing, and keep serving because Jesus is on His way. Let your light so shine, put your hand to the plough, keep your focus on Jesus, and stay the course He has given you. He did it for you, He is worthy for you keep serving until He comes.

Standing Firm In A Difficult World

In a world that shakes your faith, that drains your strength, and tests your resolve, God calls you to stand firm with a steadfast heart, an unmovable spirit, and a hope anchored in His unfailing Word.

1 Corinthians 15:58 ~ Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.

This is the chapter on the resurrection without which no one would have any hope of salvation. Because of this hope, we are told at the end of the chapter to be steadfast, unmovable, and to abound in the work of the Lord. This begins with our heart being settled and anchored in God’s unchanging truth. The world is ever changing because it is built on false pretenses. There is no true foundation in the world without the truth of God. When all the world is chaotic and confusion abounds, we are rooted in spiritual stability which is strength beyond measure. God’s Word gives us a foundation of unchanging truth that gives us clarity, confidence, and calm. Being rooted and grounded in the Word means we choose conviction of truth over the compromise of the world; it is truth over trends, and faith over fear.

We live in perilous times according to 2 Timothy Chapter Three. These difficult days demand that we be courageous disciples. God told Joshua, “Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest” (Joshua 1:9). He could have courage in himself because of the presence of God with him. Courage is not the absence of fear; it is confidence in the God who promised to never leave us or abandon us. Therefore, we can stay faithful in hardship because we know that God is with us. When temptation tries to pull our attention away from God, He directs us. When cultural pressures seem to close in on us, He protects us. And when discouragement tries to set in and steal our courage away, we can be strong and have courage because God is there and His power will sustain us. We learn to trust His strength more than our struggle.

We are told in Galatians 6:9, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” Our steadfastness is not passive; it is active obedience. We are to abound in the work of the Lord. To abound is to go the second mile when you are only required to go one. This requires discipline to serve with energy, excellence, and endurance. It requires us to relinquish our claim on our life and to give it to God. We must follow His purpose and plan for our life. We must be faithful to continue moving forward – through adversity, opposition, persecution, and exhaustion. We must never slow up, back up, or give up, for if we do we surrender ground to the devil himself. Every act of our service matters and fits into the overall purpose of God. Every prayer, every act of kindness, and every sacrifice matter to God and to those to whom we minister. Our commitment to steadfastness keeps us unmovable – anchored, concreted, and secure in place. Commitment will keep us going when it is hard, inconvenient, and unnoticed.

God will see all that you do whether it is done in secret or in public. It does not matter what people see, it only matters what God sees, and He sees all. We are told in Hebrews 6:10, “For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.” Whatever you do for the Lord is never forgotten and is forever rewarded. All that you do here for the Lord will bring Him glory throughout eternity. He has seen every effort, every tear, every burden carried, and every step taken in obedience. What others overlook or ignore is forever written in His memory. He will reward you according to your motives – it is your love for Him and your love for the people you serve (1 Corinthians 3:10-15). Your confidence is strengthened and increased as you realize that your work is never in vain. Remember that God is keeping a record, He is storing a reward, and He is strengthening your heart for the journey ahead.

Psalm 46:1 says, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” I love lighthouses. They give an assurance of safety to those who are in troublesome places. During harsh coastal storms, seafaring ships and their crew depend upon the lighthouse to be an unmovable beacon. The winds blow and the waves crash, but the lighthouse remains in place to light the way. Many storms have tried to topple these towers, but they endure because they were built to withstand the storms with deep foundations to anchor them in place. We are called to stand firm like the lighthouse in a difficult world. God gives us deep foundations of truth, faith, and hope. The Word of God is our lighthouse to our soul to give us the light of God’s unchanging truth in the darkness of worldly deception. The church is a lighthouse to the world with the beacon of the Gospel message going forth to lead the wounded and the wayfarer to Christ. We are a lighthouse of hope and help to those that we minister to through the power of the Holy Spirit within us. The storm does not weaken us; it reveals our strength which is Christ our Lord.

In Isaiah 41:10 God tells us, “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” When the storms of doubt, disappointment, and discouragement pound against you, remember that you are not alone. God says choose faith and remain focused and firm because He is your God. He is the One who will strengthen you, He will help you, and He will uphold you. The world is not reliable, but our God is always dependable. He has never failed, and He never will. Things may seem uncertain, but His promises are unshakable. You may feel weary, but He will refresh, renew, and reinvigorate you along the way. If you are overwhelmed, He will hold you up. So, stand firm today – not in your power, but in the power of Almighty God. He calls you to be steadfast, unmovable, and abounding because it depends upon Him to equip, enable, and empower you to stand firm in a difficult world.

The Light In Your Community

Jesus calls us to be the light in our community by doing good deeds that will allow others to experience the love and the goodness of God through our love and goodness towards them.

Matthew 5:14-16 ~ Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

Jesus did not tell us to carry the light, He said we are the light. Our community needs the light of the love and grace of God to shine in it. Satan is the god of this present world system that is opposite of all that God is and opposes all that choose to live godly. He works to keep all unbelievers incapsulated in his darkness through his deceptions. We must be the light of truth in the darkness to expose Satan’s lies and deceptions.

Our society has drifted into moral confusion and instability because they have rejected the truth of God’s Word. We see in our nation the consequences of Satanic deception through fulfilled prophecy and spiritual decline. In Romans Chapter One we find, “Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools … who changed the truth of God into a lie …” (vs 21-32) The world today has rejected the truth of God and have inevitably embraced confusion, falsehood, and moral distortion. We live in a dark and perilous time as we see what has happened to children and the indoctrination that has taken place in classrooms from kindergarten through college. They are taught immorality is good. They are taught to hate and despise those who are moral and do good according to the Word of God (2 Timothy 3:1-5). And we are warned in 2 Timothy 4:3-4 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine … and they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.” Rejecting truth keeps them in the darkness and deception of the god of this world because they choose to believe lies that are irrational and destructive.

People need the Lord; they need His Truth. Light is meant to be seen, not hidden. The city on the hill cannot be hidden, not even in darkness because it is a beacon of light to all who look towards it. A church with a good testimony cannot be hidden in the world because it is a beacon of the Light of the Blessed Hope. As we go out into the communities around our church, we are to be that light that shines in the darkness. We do not try to hide our light, but we strive to let it shine so others may see our good works and see the Father in and through us. Our good deeds are the way the world can see truth, experience the love of Christ, and understand the goodness of God that will lead them to repentance and faith.

God has placed us in the world in different homes, churches, occupations, and communities so that the light of His love may shine to the whole world. Our influence on the world around us may be the only Bible some may see or hear. Your light, your life, is the Word of God lived out in you so that others may see the truth in the darkness and it will illuminate the deceptions of Satan in that darkness. This is how we can be such a blessing to the world around us, bringing light into their darkness so they can truly see what is real.

Start your daily routine being fueled by the Word of God, filled with the Spirit of God, and fired by the power of God so you may go out and shine in your community for the cause of Christ and the glory of God. Be intentional about letting your light so shine that others may see Whose you are and what you are; a messenger of truth and a child of God whose desire is to please and glorify Him by honoring Christ our Savior.

Imagine being out in a forest wilderness with a group of people on a cloudy night. There is no moon and the clouds are covering the light of the stars. There are no nearby towns or settlements with any light to illuminate the night sky. Your eyes cannot get a good adjustment to your surroundings because of the growth of the forest. You have a flashlight in your backpack that is no help to anyone because it is not being used. But when you pull that light out, turn it on, and adjust it to see the pathway you need to be on, then it helps all who are in your group. Our testimony in the world works the same way. Our good deeds and our testimony, like the flashlight, will help others to see deception for its destructive nature and see the truth for its goodness. Our good works will be a guiding light to help others see God for Who He is. The Psalmist wrote, “The entrance of thy words giveth light” (Psalm 119:130).

Your home needs the light of your example. Your church needs the strength of your light. Your community needs the illumination of your light to see through the darkness of the world. Your compassion, courage, and consistency are needed every day, of every week, of every month, of every year. Let your light shine in your place, in your position, in your purpose at home, at church, at work, and in your community. Go out and be the light in your community and trust the Lord to use your light to call people to Him and to change their lives for the better.

Serving In Love

Love is the motive and the measure of true Christian service.

Galatians 5:13 ~ By love serve one another.

We are called to serve in love, and our love becomes visible when it becomes service. The agape love of God is unconditional, sacrificial, actionable love. We have been given liberty in Christ, but it is not freedom from responsibility, it is freedom to serve in love. Love is a fruit of the Spirit, and it moves us with the heart of Christ to actively love and serve others for their direct benefit. Our work in ministry is done out of our love for God and our love for others. We reach out in love because our Father loves and desires to save sinners and care for the wellbeing of His children.

Our love is the motivation that compels us to be given to the Lord and His people. We invest ourselves in service when we invest in the lives of others. We are told in Scripture, “Let all your things be done with charity” (1 Corinthians 16:14). Our kindness and generosity are products of our love. We have the compassion of our Savior because our heart is moved towards helping others in their hour of need. But we are moved to be generous, to invest, and to help others even if they have no need in the moment. The Word of God teaches that it is more blessed to give than to receive. When we give ourselves to others out of love without expectation we are blessed by our service. When we are led to serve out of love our service is a joy and a blessing, not an obligation or a burden.

Serving out of love reflects the life of our Savior. He said that He came “… not to be ministered unto, but to minister,… ” (Mark 10:45). How can we be more like Christ in our service to the Lord from a heart of love for Him and for others? Pray intentionally for others by name daily. Encourage others through texts, calls, notes, or in person. Help strangers as you go through your day. Listen purposefully to others giving them your full attention without rushing away. Be sensitive to the Holy Spirit to find opportunities to share Christ and the Gospel with others – sowing seeds and watering seeds that have been sown. Doing these things daily will increase your love and build Christian character.

There are others acts of service that we can do weekly as well. If you are not a member of a church you need to join as a member because God has a place for you and a position to serve in that place. You can be actively involved in your local church ministry to be a blessing and a help to others. You can visit those who are shut in, sick, widowed, discouraged, etc. Your presence and love are powerful spiritual and social medicines to encourage and enlighten those who may feel left out or lonely. Your support in your church through tithing keeps the church operating so that God’s love and ministry can flow into your community. Without the love of the church, how can people meet the Lord, be spiritually educated, or edified and encouraged? How would they know the love of God without seeing His love in action through the local church ministry? Your active involvement is vital to the Gospel ministry in your community.

It is our love for one another that builds relationships, brings unity into the body, and increases the harmony of the body working together. Our love for one another builds spiritual maturity in the individual and in the body of the church. We learn how to serve those who are outside the church by serving those inside the church. When we can love one another and come together in unity with sweet harmony, we reflect the love of Christ, and we are more effective in our service to the Lord.

In Luke 10:33-34 we find the account of the Good Samaritan. This is one of the greatest acts of love and service that we can find in Christianity. A Samaritan helping a Jew was like a Christian helping an anti-Christian activist. Jesus said, “Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). How much greater is that love when a man will lay down his life for his enemies. He gave himself and invested in the need and the very life of this man who had been beaten, robbed, and left for dead. The Samaritan sacrificed his time and his resources to meet the needs of someone he did not know and who more than likely was an enemy to him. We are surrounded today by people we do not know who need our compassion, our presence, and our practical help.

Remember that God sees every act of love in our kindness, generosity, sacrifice, and service. God especially takes notice of the things others do not know about and has said He would reward you openly. When you serve you are the one who is blessed. There is great joy to be had when you do it with a heart of true love, care, concern, and compassion. Serving out of love for the good and benefit of those whom you serve reflects the love of God to people who need it. Your consistent love and service will leave a lasting impact on the lives of those whom you serve, those whom you serve with, and on the world around you. Go out today and put your love for the Lord and for others into action through intentional acts of kindness and generosity.

Strength For The Work

God will empower us to accomplish every task He asks us to do with renewed strength, wisdom, and endurance regardless of the burdens, challenges, or limitations we may face.

Isaiah 40:31 ~ But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

This is a promise of the Almighty for His people; His strength is available for people of faith. Those who wait upon Him are those whom He has called out of the world through His salvation – our salvation. He has called us out, but we still live in this world – our situation. However, we are not a part of the world – our separation. Yet He sends us into the world as the light of the world and the salt of the earth; as the ambassadors of the Lord Jesus and the Gospel message – our service. Just as a waiter or waitress waits upon their patrons in a restaurant getting them whatever they need or desire, we are to wait upon the Lord by serving His desire and purpose for our life. But all that He asks and commands us to do comes with the promise of His wisdom and strength to accomplish the task successfully.

In our own strength it is not possible to live a successful Christian life. We are limited by physical ability, emotional weakness, and spiritual fatigue as our power and strength are drained by the difficulties and hardships of life and ministry. Jesus made the statement in John 15:5, “ … for without Me ye can do nothing.” We grow weary in well doing when we rely upon our own strength to accomplish it. The recognition of this truth is the first step toward experiencing the power of God upon our life; the life and ministry sustaining strength that we need to live godly in this present evil world. The Psalmist wrote, “My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever” (Psalm 73:26). We can depend upon the promise of God to sustain us in the work with His strength. We can do nothing without Him, but we can “… do all things through Christ which strengtheneth [us]” (Philippians 4:13).

God will equip us for everything that He asks, commands, or requires for us to do. He will never call us to fulfill His purposes through our own power and strength. Apostle Paul was cruelly beaten many times but was able to continue in ministry through it all. He wrote, “Not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think any thing as of ourselves; but our sufficiency is of God” (2 Corinthians 3:5). If he had to do it in His own strength, he would have failed, but he knew his sufficiency was of God. When we trust God’s enabling, empowering grace we are more than conquerors, we are victors. Whether it is a ministry task or a difficulty you are facing, be sure that God is willing and able to give you all you need to face it, stand up to it, get through it, and come through with success and with more strength than you had when you started.

Our strength is renewed through our fellowship with God. When we read and hear God’s Word and we agree with Him and heed His Word, then we are in fellowship with Him. We are renewed, refreshed, reinvigorated, and revived through this fellowship. Therefore, if we are going to do His work in His strength we must have time with God through prayer. We will need the teaching – instruction and explanation of the Scriptures – and the preaching – proclamation of the Scriptures that call us to repentance, faith, decision, and action – which means we need to be in church regularly. We also need to have a daily time with God to commune with Him – not just speaking to Him, but listening to Him as He speaks to us through His Word and His Spirit. Jesus also stated in John 15:5, “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: …”

When Nehemiah was rebuilding the wall in Jerusalem he faced great opposition, discouragement, criticism, and constant obstacles. In facing all this hardship and difficulty, he went to the Lord and said, “For they all made us afraid, saying, Their hands shall be weakened from the work, that it be not done. Now therefore, O God, strengthen my hands” (Nehemiah 6:9). He did not ask the Lord to remove his problems; he asked for the strength to accomplish his task in the problems. We need to be mindful that we do not get disappointed or discouraged when we ask the Lord to remove our problem and He does not remove it. We need to take courage and realize that as long as we are in the will of God, He will strengthen us for the work. We need to pray for the wisdom and strength to work through the challenges and get the job done. Nehemiah was able to finish the wall in 52 days – record time – despite all the challenges he faced.

Galatians 6:9 says, “And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” You must not quit when the going gets tough. The old saying says, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” Do not quit because then you will never win. If you fall, get back up, brush yourself off, and keep moving forward. You only fail when you do not depend upon the Lord and get back up. It may seem impossible, but with God all things are possible because with God nothing shall be impossible (Matthew 19:26 and Luke 1:37). Stay faithful to the work because God sees your faithfulness, your sacrifice, and your service. He will bless you and uphold you with His right hand to strengthen you in the work each day. When you depend on God for your every need, for help in every difficulty and challenge, for strength to endure another day, He will be there for you. It is His glory to strengthen you, not just to get by, but so that you may get up and soar as the eagle on the wind.
