Good morning, and welcome to Perry First Church of God.
This morning, Brother Michael Rhodes will be delivering God’s message to us. Our Scripture this morning comes from Genesis 1:1:
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.” — Genesis 1:1 (KJV)
Father God, we come before You this morning, and we ask that You would wash us in the blood of Christ. Cleanse us, Lord. Make us holy, righteous, and pure, so that we may enter Your presence and draw near to You today.
Holy Spirit, we ask that You lead us in our worship and guide us through Your Word. Speak to our hearts this morning, Lord. Show us our sin and reveal the things in our lives that are not pleasing to You, so that we may repent, turn away from our sin, and grow closer to You through it.
Father, we pray for anyone who is here today who does not know You. If there is someone who has never surrendered their life to Christ, we pray that today would be the day You call them. Give them ears to hear Your voice and a heart that is willing to receive Your truth, surrender to You, and pursue You.
God, we just want to feel You move among us today. We want Your presence, Your Word, and Your will—not our own.
Let everything we do today bring glory and honor to Your name. Let our worship, our prayers, our fellowship, and the preaching of Your Word all be used to grow Your kingdom and draw people closer to You.
We ask all these things in the name of Christ Jesus.
