Phil 3-13
Pressing Towards the Mark
Stalled Out

Sometimes in our minds we get stuck in a place not being able to go forward or back . Paul promises that he who has begun a good work in you will complete it .
He seems to be writing to the ones who are in danger of getting stalled out as we
sometimes do . It is not our fault brothers , endless days of satanic oppression can cause ones mind to go numb . Pauls words help again he writes ; I do not count myself to have apprehended but one thing i do .
Forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead . If you ever been stuck in the mud or snow you know if you can rock
back just a little you can probably run forward and get out that hole your in.
In verse 14 Paul seems to say , stand on
it throw some mud in the air,press towards the goal for the prize of the upward call . reach forward to the things which
are ahead .

Let as many who are mature have this mind .

Lord remind me that whatever state i am to be content and that i can do all things because You strenghten me amen

The Right Stuff

In a popular movie not long ago called Armegedon with Bruce Willis our planet was threatened by a mediorite the size of Texas coming at us at 26000 MPH
The solution was , to send up a crew, drill a hole in it , and explode an atomic in the middle splitting it in half hard enough that the pieces passed by earth on either
side . Bruce's motley crew were selected as the best oil drillers in the world even though they didn't look like much.
One soldier commented as they walked across the runway that they didn't look like the right stuff for the job .

How in the world did the Lord ever pick us to proclaim the word and save the world ?
We, Just sojourners , traveling with nothing , just seeking a home land , Just a man with no sword that picked up a
jawbone , positioned himself between the rocks , and took all comers . Just a man with no proper battlefield , but led
the enemy into a thorn patch and slayed them all till his sword stuck to his hand . Just a sinner woman , with an ala
baster box pouring it out and washing His feet with her hair but changing the atmosphere with her sacrifice . None, the
Lord ever sent out looked like they had the right stuff but they carried with them the substance of things hoped for and the
essence of things not seen , Their Faith .

O Lord how could you have chosen
us for such a great commision as this. Thank You for your Humble & Contrite spirit to guide us amen & amen

Stumbling Blocks
Luke 6-1-17


As Jesus and his disciples traveled Luke uses three words to bring us to the very spot and hour of where they were at .
He writes : Now it happened they were
walking through the grain fields they plucked some heads rubbed them in their hand blew out the chaff and ate them.
The scribes and pharisees watched closely and said He's harvesting on the sabbath . They followed Him to church were a poor man had a withered hand and the Lord healed it .They rebuked Him for healing on the sabbath . He reminded them that the son of man is Lord of the harvest and
Lord of the sabbath but they would not hear it. Now here is where the stumbling blocks come in . Even in our time there
were ever you go there will always be men with a controversial character . Always hiding. watching and looking . In this person nothing is ever right always looking to stir and throw out stumbling
blocks into righteousness . These are men tormented by unclean spirits who throw out stumbling blocks into everything . Jesus spoke of them in v17 . Brothers they are still out there, in the wheat fields ,
in the Sunday school class and especially in the high places of our land .
From such turn away . ( prayer & thought ) Jesus clears the field of the stumbling blocks on a beach one morning as Simone
Peter watches his little boat turned over on the shore with the fish flopping out of his net back into the sea . As jesus ask him ; do you love me more than these ? He learns it's not about the size of the boat ,the name on the end of it ,the kind of net you are using or which side of the boat your throwing it out on . Jesus ask three times ; do you love me more than these . ; Then feed my sheep , Tend my sheep .
Feed my lambs .
( prayer ) Lord show us not to become the Stumbling Blocks of our day.

July 2nd word
A Land Fairer Than Day
The old hymn says there's a land that is fairer than day and by faith we can see it afar for the master waits over the way and
prepares us a dwelling place there . In the sweet by & by ---- . God is preparing for us
a heavenly place but he has provided us a good one here also . Deut 11-11 Speaks of our America ; A land flowing with milk and honey, A land of hills and valleys that drinks
in water from the rains of heaven , a land for which the Lord Your God cares ; The eyes of the Lord are always on it from the beginning of
the year to the very end of the year. ??? Should it not be then that we like the old hymn say's
should offer the tribute of praise for the glorious gifts of His love. ( Prayer ) O Lord forgive us
when we do not bring the tribute of praise before you when we come . We do thanke You for this
Good Land To live in amen & amen
