🚨SCHROEDER AVENUE NEIGHBORS: IMPORTANT TRAFFIC & CONSTRUCTION NOTICE 🚨
Perry Hall Christian School starts next week, and we want to give our neighbors along Schroeder Avenue and throughout the Perry Hall community an important heads-up about increased school traffic and ongoing construction.
🏫 School Traffic — What to Expect
During school arrival, traffic along Schroeder Avenue and at the campus entrance will be heaviest approximately:
🌅 7:20–8:00 a.m. | Monday–Friday
During afternoon dismissal, traffic will be heaviest approximately:
🚗 2:40–3:10 p.m. | Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday
🚗 1:45–2:15 p.m. | Thursdays
🏗️ IMPORTANT: Panther Center Construction
The Panther Center is currently under construction and will remain an active construction site through next spring. All school and campus traffic will enter and exit through Schroeder Avenue.
This is a change from previous years when campus traffic could also use Cliffvale Avenue, so we anticipate increased traffic along Schroeder during arrival and dismissal.
In addition, construction crews are making improvements along our Schroeder Avenue frontage, including the extension of curb and gutter and installation of a new sidewalk along the PHCS/PHBC property. This work will continue into the fall.
⚠️ Please Plan Accordingly
We ask everyone who uses Schroeder Avenue—including our school families, church members, neighbors, and the surrounding community—to please allow extra time, exercise caution, and be especially attentive around the construction areas and tradespeople working on site. Remember, the first two weeks are the most challenging as everyone settles back into their routine and adjusts to these changes.
We know that increased traffic and construction can create additional challenges for our neighbors, and we sincerely appreciate your patience, attention, and cooperation as we begin a new school year and continue this important campus improvement project.
Thank you for helping us keep our students, families, neighbors, pedestrians, and construction crews safe. We are grateful to be part of such a wonderful community!

🏗️ Panther Center Construction Milestone! 🐾

Last week marks a major milestone in the Panther Center project—and one that’s mostly happening underground!

After nearly 50 years of service, the campus is transitioning away from its existing wastewater system, which relied on a large underground storage vault and pumps to move wastewater uphill to the public sewer system on Cliffvale Road.

With the new sewer line installed through the main parking lot this summer, the Perry Hall Christian School and Perry Hall Baptist Church campus is now transitioning to a gravity-fed sewer system, allowing wastewater to flow naturally downhill to the public sewer connection on Schroeder Avenue.

The former concrete vault structure has now been removed, and a new manhole structure has been installed as part of the new system. The photos show the transformation—including a look down into the new manhole where the new sewer lines tie together.

It’s another important step in modernizing the shared PHCS/PHBC campus and preparing the way for the Panther Center!
