The Carpenter's Church

The Carpenter's Church Our Vision - "...that we may be mature in the Lord..." (Ephesians 4:13, NLT)

Our goal is to help every man and woman be who God called them to be! Jesus is God.

The Carpenter's Church - Tenants of Faith

We believe…

1. The Word of God is Infallible – The Bible is God’s direct Word to all of us. As such, God has made sure to make all of it completely reliable, trustworthy, and truthful so we could all be totally dependent upon it for our daily living with Him. 2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20

2. Triune God - There is only one God, but one God in three separa

te, distinct Persons. This Triune Godhead is God the Father, His only begotten Son Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit, with each Person of the Divine Trinity being co-eternal and co-equal. John 14:26; Matthew 3:16-17

3. Jesus Christ – Jesus Christ is the only begotten Son of God. He came to earth as a man born of a woman. He demonstrated how we are to live. He lived a completely sinless life which made Him the perfect propitiation of our sins. He died on a cross but was resurrected three days later. Therefore, Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father. John 3:16; 1 John 5:11-12; Acts 4:12; 1 Timothy 2:5; John 14:6; 1 Corinthians 15:20; Hebrews 7:25-28

4. The Holy Spirit – The Holy Spirit is given to mankind after the ascension of Jesus to live in the Believer in order to regenerate and renew the Believer. The Holy Spirit is our Paraclete (an Advocate, Comforter, and Guide that comes alongside to help us). It is His primary responsibility to reprove the world of sin, justice, and righteousness. John 16:13-15; Acts 1:7

5. Salvation is a gift from God - The Bible tells us that the gift of eternal salvation with God the Father can only be received by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. It cannot be received by any type of works that we could do, no matter how holy and how pure those works may appear to be. The Bible tells us that every single one of us has sinned and has fallen short of the glory of God and that there is no one who is now truly righteous before God the Father. As a result, no one can earn their way into heaven, no matter how many good works they may try and do for the Lord, and no matter how holy and pleasing they may try to make themselves in His sight. Ephesians 2:8; Galatians 2:16; Romans 5:1-2

6. In The purpose of the church - The true Church is composed of all such persons, who through saving faith in Jesus Christ, has been regenerated by the Holy Spirit and are united together in the body of Christ of which He is the head. The purpose of the Church is to be a representative of God’s heart and will on the earth. The major activity of the Church is evangelism. Matthew 16:18; 28:19-20; Ephesians 5:27

7. Baptism and Communion - Water baptism by immersion soon after accepting Christ as personal Savior, is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life. Baptism was instituted in the Old Testament (and continued in the New Testament) as a sign of consecration and the initiation of covenant relationship. The Lord's Supper is a memorial service setting forth in sacred and symbolic manner the death of the Lord Jesus Christ; all true believers and only believers should share in it. Exodus 19:10; Romans 6:1-5; 1 Corinthians 11:24-29
