To accompany the young in their pursuit of happiness and to defend the sanctity of married life and families as the domestic Church where vocation to the priesthood and religious life flourish. Canon 1246, §2 - Días de precepto

El 13 de diciembre de 1991, los miembros de la Conferencia Nacional de Obispos Católicos de los Estados Unidos de América emitieron el siguiente decreto general sobre los días de precepto para los católicos del Rito Latino:

Además del domingo, los días que deben observarse como días de precepto en las diócesis de Rito Latino de los Estados Unidos de América, de conformidad con el canon 1246, son los siguientes:

Cuando el 1 de enero, solemnidad de María, Madre de Dios, o el 15 de agosto, solemnidad de la Asunción, o el 1 de noviembre, solemnidad de Todos los Santos, cae en sábado o en lunes, se abroga el precepto de asistir a Misa.

With deep sorrow, we share the passing of our beloved sister in Christ, Margarita Lizardi, a faithful parishioner of St. James the Less Catholic Church and a dedicated Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion.

Margarita generously served our parish with love, humility, and unwavering faith. Her kindness, compassionate heart, and devotion to our Lord touched the lives of so many. She will be greatly missed by our parish family.

We invite all who knew and loved Margarita to join us in praying for the repose of her soul and in celebrating her life.
