Preach the Truth.
ABSOLUTE, COMPLETE, PERFECT!
In a world motivated by Likes, Shares and Algorithms, many that profess to be purveyors of “truth” are nothing more than promoters of self, attempting to draw after themselves followers to build their brand and presence.
Acts 20:30
“Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them.”
John the Baptist waited patiently in the desert (Luke1:80) until the day of his showing. It was there he grew and waxed strong, not in and of himself through self effort or personal promotion but we see he Waxed Strong in spirit! It was in this wilderness that the word of God came to him.
Luke 3:2
“Annas and Caiaphas being the high priests, the word of God came unto John the son of Zacharias in the wilderness.”
Oh, if we as children of God would take heed and quit trying to construct some add on, some sweetener that makes the gospel palatable to goats but instead , stand firm on the blessed Book and preach the word to a lost and dying world, God Himself will give the increase , that is His business not ours.
2 Timothy 4:2-4
2“Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine.” 3 “For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears;”4 “And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
We are to be planting , watering and making sure we are seeding and watering with the pure water of the Word. Like Paul said, I am not ashamed of the Gospel for it is the power of God unto salvation. It, being the power, we should add nothing as an additive as if the Word needs our help! Proclaim it and watch the Lord give the increase. Those shallow, not rooted, name it and claim it’s, will fade away with the first sign of tribulation. Don’t be a part of building up a false, flimsy faith built up on emotions. God’s word is sufficient and will properly build on no other Foundation other than that of Jesus the Christ! For it is His Faith that we place all of our assurance in with all confidence in the birth, death and resurrection, knowing full well that He who hath begun a good work in you will bring it to completion…… Thank you Jesus…
Romans 1:16
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
So many have been drawn away from the simple gospel message and so polluted the punch that it’s not fitting to drink..
2 Corinthians 11:3
“But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.”
Just as John the Baptist pointed out Jesus in order that his disciples could follow Him, (Jesus) we must properly point the way for those who hunger and thirst!
John 1:35-37
35 “Again the next day after John stood, and two of his disciples;”36 “And looking upon Jesus as he walked, he saith, Behold the Lamb of God!”37 “And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus.”
A song in 1979 by the Oak Ridge Boys says it “well”……”Dig a Little Deeper in the Well”

Life is what you make it sometimes a living hell

If you want a good cool drink of water you gotta dig a little deeper in the well.
There is a promise of God that He will protect and keep His sheep and they, his children, will go in and out and find pasture!
I pray you find yourself under the fountain of His perfect word as you read it , sit under those who preach “It” not old wives tales and fables but God’s perfect, infallible Word as you walk in its marvelous Light….
