After enjoying fellowship and brunch, members of St. Andrew's and guests were able to take in an impactful roundtable discussion. Community and spiritual leaders were invited by Lili Beck, through her long work over two years with LAMPa (Lutheran Advocacy Ministry in Pennsylvania) to address how faith, community, and public leadership can work together to help youthful offenders reintegrate into after incarceration. LAMPa’s work and role in supporting the project was explained by Tracey DePasquale. Panel members Deacon Chris Gibson of Bethlehem Baptist Church and Rev. Erich Kussman of St. Bartholomew Church contributed personal perspectives, as did others present. We thank Bishop Penman for taking time out of his busy schedule to join us today for this important conversation. We look forward to the lessons learned being put in motion by the church to better serve those in our Community impacted by incarceration.
