Tomorrow we're continuing our All Things New series with: “Courage When the Cost Is Real.”

The scriptures we'll be covering: Jeremiah 20:7–13; Psalm 69:7–18; Romans 6:1b–11; Matthew 10:24–39

God never asks us pretend hardship is harmless or act like faith never costs anything. Jeremiah feels the weight of God’s call. Jesus tells His disciples honestly that following Him will be difficult, but He also reminds them that they're not alone, and held by the Father.

Join us at 9:30AM and find the courage God gives us when the road is difficult. 641 Marticville Rd.

This Sunday we continue our series "All Things New" with the message "A People for God’s Purpose.”

God does not simply rescue people from something. He gathers them for something. In Exodus, God brings His people to Himself. In Matthew, Jesus sees the weary and scattered crowds with compassion, and then sends His disciples into the harvest.

Join us Sunday at 9:30 AM as we reflect on what it means to be a people brought near by grace, shaped by God’s love, and sent out in the mercy of Christ.

Do remember, we will be meeting early for our time of prayer starting at 9AM. You are welcome to join us, and don't be shy if people are still praying - come on in and make yourselves at home!

Starting Tomorrow: 1 Month of Corporate Pre-Service Prayer

Hello all, I failed to mention this yesterday, but it is perhaps better to be posted separately.

Last week we determined that we would meet 30 minutes before the service for the month of June to pray together as a family of faith. The goal of this dedicated time of prayer will be to seek discernment and God's direction - together - for the coming months.

Join us at 9AM!

Blessings,
PK

Dear church family,

Week 2 of the new series, this Sunday we continue our series All Things New with the message “Called Into What We Cannot Yet See.” We’ll be looking at Genesis 12, Psalm 33, Romans 4, and Matthew 9, where God calls Abram to go before he can see the full road ahead, Jesus calls Matthew from the tax collector’s booth, and people come to Christ believing His mercy can reach places where human hope has run thin.

The heart of this week’s message is simple: faith is not the same thing as having a complete plan. Most of us would prefer God to give us the destination, the details, the timeline, and the guarantees before asking us to move. But again and again, Scripture shows us that faith begins with the God who calls first, promises first, and teaches His people to walk by trust.

I hope you’ll join us Sunday as we hear this needed reminder: God does not ask us to see everything before we follow Him. He asks us to trust Him enough to take the next faithful step.

We’d love to see you Sunday at 9:30 AM.

Blessings,
Pastor Kevin

Dear church family,

This Sunday we begin a new worship series called When God Makes All Things New, and we’ll spend the next several weeks reflecting on the quiet but powerful ways God creates, calls, strengthens, and sends His people. The theme is rooted in the presence of God at work among us, especially in those seasons when the way ahead is not fully clear but faith still calls us forward.

Our first message is “The Spirit Over the Waters,” drawn from Genesis 1, Psalm 8, 2 Corinthians 13, and Matthew 28. We’ll begin where Scripture begins: with God present over the deep, bringing light, life, order, and purpose into what had not yet taken shape. That same promise carries into Jesus’ words to His disciples: “Surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

I hope this series will encourage us to trust that God is still at work in unfinished places. He does not wait until everything is clear before He draws near, and He does not send His people forward alone. The God who spoke light into darkness is still present with His church, still shaping us by grace, and still making all things new.

We’d love to see you Sunday at 9:30 AM. Please stick around after the service for our 5th Sunday Lunch and a special meeting!

Hey faith family - this is almost getting funny!

Our plans for the Saturday cleanup and men's breakfast are still a go but Saturday's weather forecast is not looking so hot. It's still too early to tell. We're going to keep the cleanup day on the books. We'll drop the mulch in a dry spot, like maybe in the pavilion, and hopefully the weather will cooperate. If not, we'll have an earlier breakfast. Remember, we'll be meeting at the church at 8AM.

For the men - bring your work boots, gloves, and bring a friend! We're going out for breakfast after we work at the church. There's stuff to do inside and out at the church. We'll choose a spot nearby, like Willow Street Restaurant for some breakfast. If the weather stinks, it will be breakfast instead of brunch.

Ladies! Remember the following weekend, May 16th, is breakfast at the Centerville Diner! If you haven't, please let Nancy know if you plan on attending so she has an accurate headcount for reservations.

Blessings,
PK

Saturday Outdoor Cleanup Rescheduled...Again

Good evening all,

With schedules and conflicts for this coming Saturday, people being away who we kind of need for things like transporting large amounts of mulch, we're postponing the cleanup Saturday to May 9th, which will also coincide with our Men's Breakfast which will now be our Men's Brunch!

So, long story short - guys, put on those work boots, bring those work gloves, head on down to the church for 8AM on Saturday, May 9th, so we can knock out some groundskeeping around the outside of the church, and then stick around for a delicious breakfast provided courtesy of the women of the church (for whom we are extremely grateful!)

Ladies! The following weekend, May 16th, breakfast at the Centerville Diner - please let Nancy know if you plan on attending so she has an accurate headcount for reservations.

Blessings,
PK

Saturday Outdoor Cleanup Rescheduled

With the forecast being for nearly dawn to dusk rain on Saturday, we're rescheduling the outdoor cleanup at the church to next Saturday, May 2nd - which is hard to believe it's already going to be May!

Good morning church family! Sorry for the long post.

Over the past few months, a few have talked with me and I’ve been thinking about something we don’t always get time to do on Sunday mornings. Not just reading Scripture, but learning how to actually work through it well, and having the time to really talk about it.

The reality is there’s no shortage of Bible studies out there, but not all of them are...well...good. Some of them are downright awful or just wrong. And from some of our conversations, I know some of us might not feel fully comfortable or confident yet with studying Scripture on our own. I've gotten the sense that many want to know how to read the Bible...better?

So, I’m considering putting together some hour-long, interactive, online studies that go for maybe 4-6 weeks where we’d walk through a book of the Bible, topic, or passage and talk through how to understand it in context. Not just what it says, but how to read it faithfully. We'll use some recommended resources for study, and explore techniques for digging into the Word. It would be simple, interactive, and you could join from home.

Ultimately, the goals would be to study together, but also to equip you to feel more confident in your own Bible reading.

If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, please shoot me a message at [email protected]. I’m just trying to get a sense of interest before I start putting it together.

Blessings,
PK

They weren’t heroes. They were afraid, uncertain, and often wrong. But then they encountered the risen Christ, and everything changed.

Starting this week and running through Pentecost we'll be exploring how the resurrection, and the Holy Spirit, rewrote the lives of the earliest believers…and what that means for us.
