📖 Scripture of the Week

“God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.”
— Romans 5:8

God didn’t wait for us to get everything right before He loved us. His love met us right where we were.

This week, remember that God’s love is not based on our perfection, it is demonstrated through His grace, mercy, and the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.

No matter where you are in your journey, His love is still reaching for you.

SUNDAY SERMON RECAP

“The Fiery Cycle of God’s Transformation of Us”

📖 Acts 2:1–4

This Sunday, Dr. Tony Pierce reminded us that when the fire of the Holy Spirit burns in our lives, it burns with a purpose.

It clears and cleans away what no longer belongs.
It restores and renews what God wants to use.
It transforms us into who God is calling us to become.

Just as a fire clears away the old and makes room for new growth, God’s transforming fire can remove what is holding us back and make room for something greater.

So the question for us this week is: What is the fire of God cleaning, renewing, and transforming in your life?

Let the fire of the Holy Spirit burn in your walk, your talk, your prayer, and your testimony.

SCRIPTURE OF THE WEEK

There is freedom in confession and grace in forgiveness.

We don’t have to hide our mistakes from God. When we come to Him with an honest heart, He is faithful to forgive, cleanse, and restore us. His grace is greater than our failures, and His mercy gives us another opportunity to walk in His will.

“If we confess our sins to God, He can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away.”
— 1 John 1:9

Whatever happened yesterday, bring it to God. Confess it. Release it. Receive His forgiveness. Then keep moving forward.

🌱 A SEED CALLED HOPE 🌱

What are you still expecting God to do?

In Sunday’s message, “A Seed Called Hope,” Rev. Felicia Jackson reminded us that faith and hope are deeply connected:

Faith says, “I know God.”
Hope says, “I expect God because I know Him.”

Through the story of the woman at the well, we were reminded that our present circumstances do not have to be the end of our story. Jesus met her where she was, restored her hope, and she carried that hope back to her city declaring, “Come, see a man!”

Sometimes we ask God for the whole garden, while God has already given us the seed. You may not see the harvest yet, but keep believing. Keep expecting. Keep hoping.

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” — Hebrews 11:1

SERMON OF THE WEEK 🙏🏾

“Come to Me”
📖 Matthew 11:28

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Life has a way of making us tired not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. We carry responsibilities, worries, disappointments, and burdens that sometimes become too heavy to handle on our own.

But Jesus gives us an invitation: Come to Me.

He doesn’t tell us to have everything figured out first. He doesn’t tell us to fix ourselves before coming. He simply says come and He promises rest.

This week, remember that you were never meant to carry every burden by yourself. Whatever is weighing on you, bring it to Jesus. There is peace in His presence, strength in His Word, and rest for the weary.

This week’s reminder:
You don’t have to carry what God is asking you to give to Him.
