🙌🏻🩵🔥🏆 The Marquette Crusaders closed out an incredible season by bringing home the IHSA 2A State 3rd Place Trophy with a 4-1 victory over Freeburg!

Griffin Dobberstein led the offense, going 3-for-4 with a home run and 2 RBIs, while Anthony Couch was outstanding on the mound, earning the win with 6⅓ strong innings.

The Crusaders finish the season with an impressive 38-4 record and yet another State Tournament trophy to add to the program's storied tradition.

Today the U.S. consecrates herself to the Sacred Heart of Jesus as a celebration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. We are rededicating ourselves to the King of the Universe, Jesus Christ, and infusing the love of his Sacred Heart into every aspect of our lives and communities.

Today marks the 75th anniversary of the Episcopal Ordination of Venerable Fulton J. Sheen. He was consecrated a Bishop in Rome by Adeodato Giovanni Cardinal Piazza in the Church of Sts. John & Paul on June 11, 1951. As a Bishop he consistently strove to imitate Christ, and to be his hands and feet here on earth. Venerable Fulton Sheen intercede for us and teach us how to draw closer and closer to Jesus.

Today, the Bishops of the United States will consecrate the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Parishes and individuals around the country are encouraged to join the U.S. Catholic bishops in this historic occasion, beginning with this Prayer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus written for the consecration.

The Silver Rose program demonstrates the unity among Knights of Columbus in Canada, the United States, and Mexico through a series of prayer services that promote the dignity of all human life and honor Our Lady. A Holy Hour for the Unborn was held at St. Mark Catholic Church in Peoria, featuring the Silver Rose.
Our Lady of Guadalupe first appeared in 1531 – 495 years ago. Her message was:
“Am I not here, I who have the honor to be your mother? Are you not in my shadow and under my protection? Am I not the source of your joy? Are you not in the hollow of my mantle, in the crossing of my arms? Do you need anything more?”
