Northwestern Illinois District Church of the Nazarene Mission Statement: Every NWIL District congregation developing Christlike disciples locally and globally.

Vision: Every congregation accomplishing God's unique plan, for His unique church, in their unique neighborhood, community and beyond. DISTRICT MISSION & VISION STATEMENT: Our district exists to facilitate the mission of each local church, through mutual support, the sharing of resources, and collaboration. The goal of the Northwestern Illinois District is to complement and assist each local church in fulfilling its mission and objectives; to build morale, provide pastoral care and ministry motivation, supply management and practical methods assistance, and to organize and encourage organization of new churches and ministries (MANUAL p. 28.1)

1. Reaching the next generation – Starting, Maintaining and Growing Kids Ministry in your Church – Plenary challenge and two practical workshops by Rev. Shaun Stevenson, Children’s Pastor at Crossbridge Community.

2. Reaching young adults and young families – What it takes for your Church to reach young adults and young families today – Plenary challenge and two workshops by Rev. Matt Smith, Connections Pastor at the Gathering Point in Kankakee and Celebrate Life Director at ONU.

If you’re headed to Kansas City for the 2027 General Assembly and Conventions of the Church of the Nazarene, consider if you or a team from your church can take part in the “Love Your Neighbor” compassionate ministry project!

From June 20–27, 2027, participants will have opportunities to:

• Engage in more than 23 ministry projects across Kansas City, including construction projects, sports ministry, Vacation Bible School outreach, community engagement, and food distribution
• Support two new downtown church plants
• Serve alongside Nazarenes from around the world
