On Trinity Sunday, Fr. Stephan reflected on the Trinity not as an abstract mystery, but as the story of a God who continually seeks us out, loves us, and invites us deeper into His life. From creation to redemption and the ongoing work of grace, God's faithfulness never fails.
Today also marked one year since Fr. Stephan's ordination to the diaconate and one year since Jim Benson entered eternal life. The saints continue to inspire us through their witness, reminding us that the Gospel is alive and at work in everyday life.
One simple way to think about Trinity Sunday is that it celebrates a God who exists in perfect love and relationship, and who invites us into that same life of love. As Fr. Stephan noted, the Trinity can be seen in both the grand story of salvation and the ordinary holiness of daily life. God is meeting us in bread and wine, baptismal waters, prayer, Scripture, and even a quiet morning at the kitchen table with a bowl of cereal and a Bible.
As today was the final Sunday of the choir's program year before their summer hiatus, we also extend our heartfelt thanks to our choir members for their faithful service. We are deeply grateful for the beauty, dedication, and spirit they bring to our worship and community throughout the year.
We were also blessed to hear Anna and Stu play a beautiful organ duet of Ode to Joy. Even more remarkable, it was Anna's first time playing a pipe organ! We’re sure Beethoven himself would have been proud. Their joyful performance was a wonderful reminder of the gifts God places among us.
A blessed Trinity Sunday indeed!
