We were doubly blessed on Friday by a second team of volunteers from CAT Global Finance who spent their volunteer day helping us with a big project that will impact thousands of area people in need.

These special volunteers packaged 4,400 gift cards to get them ready to go into the Christmas Food Boxes that will be assembled this Fall for distribution in December. We are so grateful to have their help.....that's a lot of gift cards to get ready!

It didn't matter that it was super hot today. This amazing group from the CAT Global Finance Team showed up in a BIG way to help with landscaping and touch up painting work at The Salvation Army on North Nebraska Ave in Peoria.

We are so grateful....and so impressed!...with all of the great work they accomplished today as part of the CAT Volunteer Day. Thank you for supporting The Salvation Army.

We are so blessed at The Salvation Army to have so many amazing volunteers.

We want to give a BIG SHOUT OUT to the CAT Defense team who volunteered in the Food Pantry on Tuesday. They knocked it out of the park!

We are so blessed to have the support of Nicholas Delgado! He's now in school at the University of Illinois but continues to host his 5K Walk Run, "Going the Distance", in Morton each summer following the tradition he started while still in high school.

Nicholas recently dropped off 35 pairs of shoes collected during his event along with a check for $1,569.85! He does all of this to help make the lives of our men in the shelter better.

Thank you Nicholas and thank you to everyone who supported this great event!

WOW! The generosity of our community is incredible.

We'd like to give a HUGE THANK YOU to Caterpillar AB in Peoria, IL for their Donation Drive efforts during the 2026 Caterpillar Employee United Way Appeal.

Because these employees wanted to make a difference for people in our community who are struggling, our food pantry now has a lot of great items to share with people who come in for assistance.

It truly takes a village....thank you employees of Caterpillar AB!
