Little Needs, Big Impact – Diaper Drive!

Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Peoria is collecting much-needed baby essentials throughout the month of June to help families in our community who are struggling to make ends meet.

We are especially in need of:
🍼 Diapers (Sizes 4–6)
🧻 Baby Wipes
🧴 Baby Lotion
🧼 Baby Wash

Every donation, no matter how small, helps provide comfort, care, and dignity to local families and their little ones. These basic necessities are often some of the most requested items at our St. Gianna Baby Pantry.

Our Friday afternoon kitchen crew is looking for new volunteers! You'll be making PB & J sandwiches, and salads as we finish up the week. Hours are 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Apply at www.CatholicPeoria.org. Your volunteering will begin with a few safety videos, and will include 2 background checks. It's even more fun if you bring a friend!

Congratulations to Fr. Blake Miller and Fr. JohnPaul Stedwill! If you did not know, Fr. Blake will remain here at St. Philomena for his first assignment. This weekend, May 30-31, after each Mass he will offer blessings to all who desire to receive one.

Vatican announces global rosary for peace with Pope Leo XIV. This will be at 7pm Rome time on Saturday, May 30, which is 12pm Peoria time. There will be a livestream available from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, https://www.nationalshrine.org/Mass/.

Locally, Fr. Bill Miller is inviting those interested to come together to pray at St. Joseph Church in Peoria.

A worldwide rosary, coordinated by the Dicastery for Evangelization, will be prayed at the Lourdes Grotto in the Vatican Gardens on May 30.

Can you share with the Little Free Pantry at Sophia's Kitchen this weekend?

Sophia's Kitchen is CLOSED today and Monday, May 22 & 25 for the Memorial Day weekend.
Donations to the Little Free Pantry are most welcome. Nuts, pudding cups and easy to open cans are good choices. For safety, please do not add leftovers, glass bottles or homemade foods. Thank you for taking care of our neighbors while our staff and volunteers rest.
