Being humble is not always easy to do. Sometimes we let our pride get in the way. We forget that we need a Savior and we can't do life all by ourselves. There comes a time when we must place God's will before our own. We are not strong enough and we worry too much to be in charge. Surrender to God and let Him guide your path and redirect your heart. God has the power to heal, set us free, and deliver us from our current situations. We must be patient enough to wait on God's timing. He will do whatever needs to be done, when the time is right. Trust God!

There are some things that we allow to weigh us down. Stress will bring us to our breaking point. Our past will hold us hostage. It can make us feel like what we've done is not forgivable and that people won't let our failures go. But, thank God for a Savior who sees our imperfections and still loves us just the same. A relationship with Christ can set us free from bo***ge, guilt, and shame. When we learn about Jesus and begin to trust in Him, freedom comes and releases us from the control sin has over us. Praise the Lord, we are finally free.

Let’s Support the family during this time of transition 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

Today as a community our hearts are heavy as we pray for the William’s family in their time of grief. We pause to honor the life of an amazing man, with an impact that has left a mark on us all. Elder Michael Williams was a man who loved God, loved people, and faithfully served the Lord for many years. He preached the Gospel, encouraged others in their faith, and used his life to make a difference wherever God placed him.

While his presence will truly be missed, we thank God for the life he lived, the people he touched, and the legacy of faith he leaves behind. His labor was not in vain.

Rest well, Elder Williams. You served faithfully, you kept the faith, and now you can take your rest.

Psalm 121:1 says, I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, From whence cometh my help. We have to know where our Help comes from. It's not in our own strength. Whitney Houston sang a song with these words, " I look to You. I look to You. After all my strength is gone, in You I can be strong. I look to You." Her words sounded pretty, but we don't have to exhaust ourselves before we recognize that God's power is made perfect in our weakness. If we try to do it all ourselves, it leads to anxiety, frustration and exhaustion. We must learn to cast all of our cares on the Lord because He cares for us. Your strength will not sustain you, but when you recognize that you can look to the hills, you'll know where your Help comes from.

We owe God our highest praise for keeping, healing, and protecting us. Remembering His power humbles us, proving that we did not grow or mature on our own. While some foolishly reject His discipline, instruction, and correction and claim self-sufficiency, they will ultimately stand before God and realize they missed their chance to be saved.

As Christians, we know the Fruit of the Spirit has nine traits, but they are not separate. They are a single, connected reflection of Christ's character growing in a believer. When we display love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, we show the world that Christ lives in us. We don’t get to pick and choose which ones to exhibit. Every part of the fruit is required of us all day, every day.

Use one word to describe God in your life. David used 6 words or phrases to describe God in this scripture.
Rock- God is unmovable and stable.
Fortress- God is like a high wall that keeps enemies away. He's our Protector.
Deliverer- God is the One who comes to our rescue. He knows what we need before we can ask.
Shield- God is close by to protect us from all hurt, harm and danger.
Horn of my salvation- God is our strength and power.
High Tower- God looks out for us from above and He can't be touched by the enemy. Therefore He sees the enemy and keeps us from harm.
Whatever word you choose to describe God should tell the world how awesome and amazing He is. What's that one word?
