Sermon Title: The Enemy Within You:
This sermon message speaks to the live of Christians and the three deadly enemies in our everyday lives. Those three enemies are, the world, the devil and the flesh or human nature. The way to overcome these foes are, by the word of Christ, the feeling of the Holy Spirt, and by the finish work of Jesus Christ on cross.
The life of Christians is not a life of conforming, but a life of overcoming. It is not a walk in the park. Anyone who follows the teachings of God must be prepared to live a life of a spiritual soldier (II Timothy 2:3-4). Part of our Christian calling is to face the three deadly enemies that can discourage and distract us from our spiritual goals. If we are to be active soldiers of God, then we must know our enemies and how to defeat them.

This sermon focuses on the importance of guarding our thoughts and taking control of our minds. If there's no change in how we think, there will be no change in our life.
It is interesting to note that Paul says that we must be transformed by the renewing of our “minds.” The mind is the key to the Christian life. The reason why non-Christians do not respond to Christian truth is that they cannot discern spiritual truth (1 Corinthians 2:14). The gospel is a call for the unbeliever to repent of his sin and embrace Christ by faith. The Greek word translated “repentance” carries the notion of a change of mind. Our thinking must be changed (transformed) from old, ungodly ways of thinking into new, godly ways of thinking. What we know in our minds to be true forms a conviction in our hearts of that truth, and that conviction in our hearts translates into action. Therefore, we must first renew our minds. God is faithful, is a message that encourages Christians to trust in the Word of God. In a time of unrest, uncertainty, and confusion we need to search the Word of God in Christ Jesus to find peace in the midst of the storms of life. This message inspires us not to allow the circumstances of today’s crises to cloud our trust in Jesus Christ. God our Father is Faithful and true, and He is still on the throne. He is with us now and will never leave us. Matthew 28:20; Jesus promised He would always be with us; “20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. If you believe Jesus promised this to us then believe that He is a faithful God and cannot lie. True in the Lord Jesus Christ experience Him fully.
