One of the greatest blessings of Christian fellowship is walking through life together. There are moments to celebrate answered prayers, new grandchildren, anniversaries, salvations, and victories. There are also seasons of grief, loneliness, sickness, and loss. God calls us to be present for both. As a matter of fact, Paul wrote, “Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep.” (Romans 12:15). As believers, we can encourage others with wisdom, compassion, and love. A phone call, a prayer, a visit, or even a simple word of encouragement can make all of the difference, an eternal difference in someone’s life.
Let’s be people who truly care for one another ~ celebrating joys and carrying burdens together ~ just as Christ cares for us.

Harmony matters! As believers, we are stronger when we walk together in unity, encouragement, and love. Romans 15:5-6 reminds us: “May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another… that together you may with one voice glorify God.” I'm so very thankful for my 55+ family and how we walk together in unity. Who can you encourage today? Let’s continue building one another up and glorifying Christ together!

Strength comes through discipline—proper eating, exercise, supplements, and sleep can build physical strength. But where does spiritual strength come from? In the Letter to the Philippians 4:13, Paul writes, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” True spiritual strength is not found in ourselves, but in Christ. As Saint Cyprian said, “No one is strong in his own strength, but he is safe by the grace and mercy of God.”

🫐 Hey 55+! — Let’s Go Blueberry Picking! 🫐

Join us on Friday, June 12 for a fun day of fellowship, fresh blueberries, and lunch together!

📍 We’ll be visiting Hillcrest Farms in Elberta for blueberry picking, then heading to Wolf Bay Lodge in Foley for lunch.

🕣 Meet at Hillcrest Church
under the Generations Building covered drop-off at 8:30 AM
🚌 Depart from the church at 8:45 AM

🫐 Hillcrest Farms supplies everything needed for picking!
• EDITED HERE as of 05/28 Blueberries are $4.00 per pound
• Payment accepted: cash, check, or card
• Card purchases include a 3% service fee

🍽 After picking, we’ll enjoy lunch together at Wolf Bay Lodge before heading back to Hillcrest. Each one is responsible for their own lunch.

⏰ We expect to return to the church by 2:00 PM.

🚌 We will be taking the church bus, so please let us know if you plan to ride the bus, as seating is limited. You can either comment on this post or call the church office to reserve your seat.

What a fun-filled weekend so far! 🎉⚾🌭🍔🫖
We had a wonderful time at the Pensacola Blue Wahoos ballgame last night! So much laughter, fellowship, and great memories together.
Today, our Hillcrest Deacons and New Journey Hospitality Leadership put on an amazing cookout luncheon for our precious widows. What a blessing it was to share food, fellowship, and love with these special ladies. Thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend so meaningful!

We cannot wait to see you Friday Night at the Pensacola Blue Wahoos Ballgame! I suggest that you arrive by 5:30, but you can arrive as early as 5:00 when the gates open! Everyone will enter at the Hancock Whitney Club Entrance/Third Base Side. Please notice in the pictures below. The illustrated map of the stadium-Circled in White-is where everyone will enter for the Game!

What brings you abundant joy? Or maybe the better question is, who brings you abundant joy? To me, it is what John wrote in 3 John 1:4, "I have no greater joy than to hear that my children are walking in the truth." Our prayer for you is that your children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren will walk in the truth! How can we pray for your family? If you want to, let us know in the comments.

So grateful for the memories we are making on our Branson trip! From uplifting shows to beautiful scenery and lots of laughter along the way, it has been a blessing to spend this time together!

The first few days of our 55+ Branson Trip and we’ve already made many wonderful memories! Everyone unanimously agrees that the most wonderfully moving show so far has been David at Sight and Sound Theatre! It was truly better than Broadway and they even gave an invitation at the end for anyone who would like to follow Jesus!

When it comes to faith, how does it work? Where do we learn about faith? According to Romans 10:17, we learn about faith and we have faith as we hear the word of Christ. "So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ." (Romans 10:17 ESV) Tell me, how has your faith grown? What is Jesus revealing to you through His Word? One way Christ-followers can mature in their faith is through participating in Bible Study. We have that opportunity tonight as we come together for Mid-week @ Hillcrest Church I hope to see you tonight! Blessings and Peace . . . . .
