Brokenness. Everyone experiences brokenness. So, where have you been broken? How have you allowed the Lord to use your brokenness to help others? John Bunyan once said that believers "are like bells; the harder they are hit, the better they sound." How have your afflictions brought you closer to Christ and made you more like Him? What can you do to further this process of sanctification in the middle of your afflictions? Let me encourage you, in the midst of your afflictions, let the light of the Lord shine through you!

Room at the Table. This is a church-wide initiative preparing us to launch a third Sunay morning worship service in January 2027. It's about more than adding a service; it's about making room for more people to encounter Jesus by serving in our giftedness, engaging our community with the Gospel and becoming more like Christ along the way. So, ask the Lord, what can you do to make Room at the Table?

“For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.” — Philippians 1:21

What a powerful perspective for every season of life! While we are here, Christ is our purpose; when this life is over, Christ is our eternal reward.

Let’s make the most of every day God gives us—living for Christ, loving others, and leaving a legacy of faith.

To live is Christ. To die is gain. To serve is our privilege.

Goals. What is a goal for which you are currently striving or running toward? Paul’s plea to press toward the goal while “forgetting what lies behind” (Phil. 3:7–16) captures the heart of Christian perseverance—a determined pursuit that refuses to be defined by the past-whether by failures or successes. The verb press pictures a runner straining toward the finish line. Yet Paul’s effort is not self-driven. Christ had already “made me his own,” so Paul pursued Christ in response to grace, not to earn it.
The “prize of the upward call” is the fulfillment of God’s purpose for every believer. As we faithfully pursue Christ, God works in us to mature and strengthen us. Finally, “forgetting what lies behind” does not mean ignoring the past but refusing to let regret or complacency hinder our progress. Every day is a new opportunity to press on toward the goal Christ has set before us.

How are you feeling today? What do you do when you're down, depressed? Psalm 42:5, ”Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation." Sometimes the cure for a depressed soul is to 1) remember our hope is in God and 2) make the choice to praise Him. Then, from the next passage, 3) remember the wonderful deeds of the Lord!

Psalm 77:11-12, "I will remember the deeds of the Lord; yes, I will remember your wonders of old. 12 I will ponder all your work,
and meditate on your mighty deeds.“ I like how this translation says it, But then I recall all you have done, O LORD; I remember your wonderful deeds of long ago. They are constantly in my thoughts. I cannot stop thinking about your mighty works."

What truth about God’s character do you need to recall to your mind in your current season?

When you look back at your life, what are some specific ways God has shown His faithfulness to you that can give you courage to hope again?
