Sometimes the hardest decisions are the ones that save your life.
Two years ago this week, we came to Pensacola Beach exhausted, overwhelmed, disconnected, and needing space to breathe after the darkest season of our lives.
Nobody knew we were here except immediate family. To this day, not many know about that trip until sharing about it now.
For 10 days, we unplugged from everything and reconnected as husband, wife, and family.
On May 9, 2024, we drove back to our makeshift home in Indiana with a decision already made:
We were starting over.
Few knew about this decision, but most of them thought we were running away.
We weren’t running.
We were rebuilding — from the ground up.
Within 5 weeks, we spent all the money we had and moved our entire life to Florida.
It was one of the hardest, most stressful, and most important decisions we’ve ever made.
But sometimes the hardest decisions are the ones that change your life for the better.
I trusted God, trusted my instincts, protected my family, and built the life we wanted anyway.
That decision shaped me into the man I am today and helped begin the process of building Hard Way Wisdom.
