God has called us to evaluate subjective sins in our own heart in two ways:

If I know I should do it and don’t (sin)
If I know I should not and I do (sin)

As we go through our lives let us evaluate those things which have been written on our heart and let God be the ultimate judge.

We get so focused on others and judging them for their actions but the Bible never says we will give an account of others sins. It says we will give an account for ourselves before God.

If we spent half the time we focus on others growing closer to God ourselves we would have better accounts to give.

Just because some sins are subjective, we don’t get to muddy up the sins which are objective. When we evaluate sin we use the Objective to evaluate the Subjective.

If we get that order backwards we slide into a world where there is no sin and “everyone does what is right in their own eyes”.

There are sins that are objectively wrong and clearly lined out in Scripture. There are also sins that are subjective to our intent, our culture, and our calling.

Before we judge others by our own convictions we first need to make sure we are judging sin and not preference.
