Today, we remember September 11, 2001—a day that changed our nation forever. We remember the lives lost, the families who were forever changed, and the first responders, firefighters, police officers, military members, and ordinary people who showed incredible courage and selflessness. As we remember, let’s also pray for those who still carry the weight of that day.

“The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit.” — Psalm 34:18

On the anniversary of Charlie Kirk’s assassination, we thank God for his bold witness, proclamation of truth, love for God, love for others and our nation. Thank God he stood firm in his faith until the Lord called him home. May we be as zealous for our Lord and found just as worthy to bear the name of Christ.

We all need encouragement. Sometimes a simple text, a kind word, or a reminder that someone is praying for us can make all the difference. Don’t underestimate the power of encouraging someone today. Who can you encourage? Reach out. Check in. Pray with them. Remind them that they’re not walking through life alone.
Let’s be the kind of church family that encourages one another every day.

Before you go into tomorrow, remember: whatever you do, do it in love. Let’s be people who make the love of Christ visible in the way we live.
