The Throne Room
(Peace That Makes No Sense)

When we should receive the judgment of God, instead we receive His mercy and His love.
Peace flows from the Presence of the King of Kings.
Philippians 4:7
Peace steadies our heart and guards our mind when fear tries to invade it and circumstances try to detour it.
The world cannot imitate the peace of God.
Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, peace I give unto you.”
John 14:27
The Lord is the peace speaker.
Jesus doesn’t offer us a life without storms.
He offers us a throne room peace; a peace that comes from where He sits and not where we stand.
Peace changes everything in our life.
Isaiah 53:7
Isaiah was revealing the character that Jesus displayed while He endured suffering.
Pain is a revealer like nothing else.
Oppression — pressed down from the outside.
Affliction — carrying a weight on the inside.
But yet He opened not His mouth.
His silence was not a silence of defeat.
It was the silence of strength.
Three responses to His oppression and affliction:
1. We can have peace under pressure.
Peace is not the absence of pressure; it’s the presence of trust.
He rested in the Father’s plan for Him.
2. We can have peace in pain.
We have to allow the King to walk into the midst of our situation.
Hebrews 12:2 tells us that He endured the cross that was set before Him.
3. We can have peace in surrender.
It was an intentional choice to yield to God’s plan. Jesus didn’t need to defend or fight for what God had already ordained.
Isaiah was showing us an example of how Jesus went through suffering and affliction.
His peace is strong enough to stand where the challenges of life have hardened our hearts.
Peace carries power that struggle can never produce.
Peace that comes when it does not make sense.
Jesus is saying to us, “If we will stop resisting and stop fighting, I will minister My peace to you.”
Revelation 5:6
“A Lamb as it had been slain…”
You cannot understand the Lamb’s peace unless you first understand the atmosphere that He stands in.
Heaven is not a quiet place.
Heaven is a loud place.
There is an abundance of worship in heaven. Thundering voices of worship and praise!
Heaven erupts whenever the gospel breaks through.
Heaven rejoices because the Lord God Almighty reigns.
The God that we serve will never lose because there is a Lamb that is already on the throne.
Even in the midst of the noise, God wants to release peace to His people.
Peace is not the absence of noise; peace is the presence of the Lamb within the noise.
Paul describes a warrior’s peace.
A peace that is designed to guard our inner life.
Philippians 4:7
The word ‘to keep’ means to stand guard, to fortify, to block panic at the gate.
Peace denies fear’s entry. It causes you to stand and resist the fiery darts of the enemy.
Stand your ground.
Remain faithful.
Hold the line.
The world teaches us that peace is nothing more than the absence of conflict.
That calm only exists when the trouble is gone.
But Jesus teaches us something different.
That true peace is found in His presence and His protection.
He says to His disciples:
John 16:33
“I have overcome the world.”
Peace is not what happens when trouble disappears; peace is what happens when He stand with you in the midst of the trouble.
His peace doesn’t wait for the storm to stop; His peace walks with you through the storm.
Jesus was with His disciples in the boat, right in the middle of the storm.
