A historic moment for the Global Methodist Church! 🌍

General Conference is underway in Johannesburg, and for the first time, a full-time Assembly of Bishops has been elected to serve our global connection.

As we continue praying for Jim and all those gathered at General Conference, we also celebrate the work being done to shape the future of our church. What a wonderful reminder that here in Pensacola, we are part of something much bigger than ourselves. 🤍

Join us in praying for these newly elected bishops and for the work of General Conference in the days ahead.

Today, we send one of our own across the world covered in prayer. 🌍🙏

On Sunday, our church family gathered around Jim and Marilyn VanSickle as we prayed over Jim and his journey to Johannesburg for the Global Methodist Church’s General Conference.

Today, Jim begins that journey. As he travels and prepares to serve, listen, discern, and represent our church, we ask you to continue the prayers we began together on Sunday.

Pray for safe travel. Pray for wisdom and discernment. Pray for strength and peace. And pray that the Holy Spirit would guide Jim and every delegate as they gather from around the world.
