SANTA CLAUS MAKES A STOP TO CENTURY, FLORIDA WITH A MULTI MILLION DOLLAR DEVELOPMENT
Escambia County town gets a holiday surprise.
Century, FL — Just a few days prior to the Christmas holiday, The Paces Foundation, based out of Smyrna, GA, finalized plans for a multimillion dollar eco-friendly and sustainable 55-unit development.
Businessman, community leader and philanthropist Doug Dickerson of Gulf Breeze, FL said, “The Paces Foundation is serving the needs of the community by developing new, sustainable housing for the community of Century. I was moved to sell my property to assist in rebuilding and serving Century’s needs.”
Art Rocker, Director of Operation People for Peace, Inc. was the facilitator for bringing all parties involved together to serve the needs of the community. Rocker stated, “After Magic Johnson’s visit to Pensacola roughly 2 years ago, Mayor McCall and I begin to have a continuous discussion and meet concerning the needs of Century’s underserved community. After a year and a half of dialoguing concerning housing needs of Century this project has come to fruition and been approved. This is a Christmas gift from God for the town of Century, FL.
The town has new leadership developing as the former Mayor transfers to the towns Chamber of Commerce President. This multi-million-dollar project is just the beginning for the town to stimulate job and business growth in Century.” Mayor McCall has indicated that The Paces Foundation has a ribbon cutting ceremony scheduled for the second week of January 2017.
