“I’ve been in church my whole life. Fast forward to my 20s. I was an alcoholic in and out of jail. And would get two DUI’s before the age of 32. I always had a good job. But alcohol came first. I have worked as a deckhand making sure pilots got on the ship safe. I have worked at a tree farm planting trees with tractors. I have run a forklift for Lowe’s for 2 1/2 years. I’ve cooked in some high end restaurants, H2O, Hilton Pensacola Beach, peg legs and was the chef at waffle House. I also opened the grand Marlin I have laid tile for a multi million dollar company I did that for three years. Now let’s talk about my relationship with God God has always been there for me, but I have not always been there for him. God blessed me with all of those great jobs, jobs that I could have gone far in, but because of alcohol, they are no longer a part of my life. It was not just Job’s. It was relationships. Every relationship I’ve lost was due to alcohol. I was running from God doing my own thing my own way. This might sound like a lot of testimonies, but I know it is because God uses people just like me to talk to people like me to draw closer to Jesus. I would go to Waterfront rescue mission for the second time. But this would also be the last time. And now I have a beautiful family, a good job and I place to call home! I also have my license back and I’ve been sober going on six years. God is good all the time and all the time God is good and in never gets old and he will never stop loving you. And if God can do it for me I know He can do it for you!! I pray every morning that God uses me in a mighty way to lead people closer to him, and that he reveals to me the plan he has for my life.
