Unity In The Family, Inc, a 501(c) 3 tax exempt nonprofit organization was established to give individuals in our community a workable option in gaining the ability to reconcile relationships with their families. This reconciliation will occur by men and women regaining power over their life controlling problems such as drugs, s*x, alcohol, food, gambling, compulsive behavior, work, emotional dysf

unctions, social dysfunctions, or any substance and/or behavior that they cannot stop in spite of the negative consequences created in their life.

Unity In The Family Ministry is looking for an HBCU student to become a summer intern for it’s Youth Exposed To STEM (YES) Program. This person will work with a team of HBCU professors and Unity In The Family’s staff, teaching a STEM using Environmental Justice as our subject matter. This person will be compensated $2,500.00 for working 4 days a week from 8 am til2 pm for 6 weeks. If you are interested phone Dr. Avant at (850) 748-0675 ASAP.

Angel Tree is a Prison Fellowship program that gives parents behind bars a way to restore and strengthen relationships with their children through a tangible experience of God’s love—especially at Christmas. Unity In The Family in conjunction with Prison Fellowship Ministry sponsors it's Annual Angel Tree Gift Presentation and Dinner supplying gifts to over 300 children whose parents are incarcerated in Penal Institutions every December. Mother's Day comes once a year. We buy our mothers flowers and a card, and even include a poem. But, we must know that we have not fulfilled our obligation for the rest of the year. If we would comprehended a small part of what our mothers did for us as children. How they would quite literally die for us if needed. The mother child relationship is a sacred bond, let us honor our mothers on this special day and every day.
