The Greek community here in Pensacola has such a deep history—families first started settling in the area back in the late 1800s. By 1910, they opened their first church at Wright and Reus Streets, but as the community grew, they eventually needed a much bigger space. That’s how they landed at the current West Garden Street spot in 1954.

Giving Tuesday

Dear Friends of the Pensacola Greek Festival,

We hope you’re having a wonderful Christmas season! As we look back on this year’s Festival, our hearts are full of gratitude.

Whether you enjoyed a gyro, shared baklava with your family, watched the dancers, or simply felt at home under the tent; you’re part of a 65-year Pensacola tradition.

The Greek Festival isn’t just a weekend of food and fun. It’s one of our church’s most important community ministries, managed entirely by volunteers, and it helps us:
preserve our cultural traditions,
maintain our historic church campus,
support local charities,
and offer a place where Pensacola families can experience authentic Greek hospitality year after year.

Today is Giving Tuesday, a day dedicated to supporting the organizations that make a difference in our communities. If the Festival has brought joy to you or your family, we invite you, only if you’re moved to, to consider a Giving Tuesday gift.

Every contribution, big or small, helps strengthen the Festival and the work our parish does throughout the year.

Thank you for being part of our Festival family. We can’t wait to welcome you back next year with even more great food, music, and celebration

With gratitude,
The Pensacola Greek Festival Committee
