Everyone is invited to come lend a hand in beautifying and cleaning our building, starting Saturday at 9am until noon (Football games and naps available after noon).
Wondering what you can do? Everyone can do something on this list...
Indoor - Dust furniture, shelves; Vacuum carpets, rugs; Sweep and mop hard floors; Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces; Wipe kitchen counters and backsplashes; Clean appliances, including the microwave and refrigerator; Scrub sinks and toilets; Organize closets, drawers, and cabinets; Declutter countertops and storage areas; Wipe door handles, light switches, and handrails; Clean vents, and air filters; Polish wood or metal surfaces; Disinfect children’s toys; Sort items for donation or disposal
Outdoor -
- Gutters on N side need cleaning
- Repair loose and broken book racks
- Pressure wash sidewalks (Pressure washer is already at the building with standard nozzles; bring circular sprayer wand if you wish)
- Help Q run new wires and install a couple of surveillance cameras
- Cut back and remove weeds in outside HVAC area within chain-link fence area, outside of Fellowship Hall area (spray Roundup to reduce growth)
- Remove vines from hedges along People’s Water fence (bring shovel and try to get to ’the root of the problem’ for long term success)
- Pick up trash around property
- Trim back overgrowth along W side of property
Bring personal protective gear if you plan to work outside and let's be safe (appropriate clothing, hearing protection, eye protection, gloves, etc.)
As you can see, there is something for everyone… and donuts and coffee will be provided at 9am.
