Redeemer Community Church Pensacola

Redeemer Community Church Pensacola RCC exists to glorify God by making disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19)

Who loves much? The one who knows how much he has been forgiven (Luke 7:47).

This Sunday we continued our new series by working verse-by-verse through Luke 7:36–50.

At Redeemer, we believe the best way to understand God’s Word is to let the text speak for itself. That’s why expository preaching is central to our Sunday gatherings: opening the Scriptures, understanding them in context, and asking how God intends them to shape our lives.

Here’s a short clip from Sunday’s message: Are you more like Simon—or the woman?

Does God keep his promises? Do we have to keep our promises?

Join us this Lord’s Day as we celebrate the faithfulness of God.

“So when God desired to show more convincingly to the heirs of the promise the unchangeable character of his purpose, he guaranteed it with an oath, so that by two unchangeable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we who have fled for refuge might have strong encouragement to hold fast to the hope set before us.”

(‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭6‬:‭17‬-‭18‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

What if your exhaustion isn’t a badge of honor… but a warning sign?

We live in a culture that glorifies burnout, nonstop hustle, and never slowing down. But God commands His people to rest and trust in Him enough to believe He will provide.

This Sunday, we will be looking at what it actually means to hit reset spiritually and rediscover the rest the Lord gives those who love Him.

Join us at 10am!

“The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil from beaten olives for the lamp, that a light may be kept burning regularly.

Outside the veil of the testimony, in the tent of meeting, Aaron shall arrange it from evening to morning before the Lord regularly.

It shall be a statute forever throughout your generations. He shall arrange the lamps on the lampstand of pure gold before the Lord regularly.”

(‭‭Leviticus‬ ‭24‬:‭1‬-‭4‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

“Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.””

(‭‭John‬ ‭8‬:‭12‬ ‭ESV‬‬)

What if Christians today are more disconnected from their own tradition than they realize?

This summer, we’re slowing down together to read some of the voices that have shaped Christian thought, imagination, and worship for centuries.

Not just theologians like Augustine and Calvin, but poets and writers like William Shakespeare, John Donne, George Herbert, Christina Rossetti, Amy Carmichael, and G. K. Chesterton.

These aren’t just "old books." They are voices wrestling with beauty, suffering, grace, doubt, truth, prayer, and what it means to follow Christ faithfully in the world.

And honestly, there’s something powerful about reading them together rather than alone.

No expertise needed. Just curiosity, thoughtful conversation, and a willingness to grow.

When: Monday evenings beginning June 1
Where: Pensacola

If you’ve been wanting to think more deeply about your faith, this is a great place to start.
