Message from Pastor Jack Kale:
Dear Church Friends and Family,
I know it's been a hard week. We've seen the best and worst in people. We've connected with new people and been disconnected from others. It's a trying time and I know we are all doing our best to work through the days ahead. Some of us have already finished our recovery work and others are just getting started. No doubt there will be insurance headaches, if you have insurance at all. What I do know is that we can be brought closer to each other and to God during this time.
This Sunday we will be meeting for worship at 9 am at Flounders. They have done a great job in preparing and cleaning up the place to help us get ready. When I asked what we could do to help, they said, "just enjoy the service and stay to eat!" I invite you to do just that. I will be sharing a message about the conversation Jesus had with the disciples as he calmed the storm and examining how we can apply that to our current situation.
We are looking for those "God stories" where we've seen God show up during this trying time. One brother was reunited with an estranged sister through this storm. Strangers have become friends and distant neighbors, close. Sandra and I had our own "God moment" that I will share on Sunday. I can't wait to see you and hear your own God story as we gather on at 9 am at Flounders.
If you are in need of help and don't know where to go or who to call, let us see what we can do to help. While we aren't organizing work parties or team efforts, we are inviting people to connect in their neighborhoods and with friends to see how we can be the hands and feet of Christ. Please reach out to me if you need help and I will see if we can find who God is calling to put in your path as a helper. Feel free to text me at 850-982-9688. I can't wait to see you, Sunday!
Love one. Love another.
Jack
