Would you like to know what you really need? 🙏
It’s not always more answers.
It’s not always proof.
It’s not even always the healing we long for.
What our hearts need most is the presence of Jesus Himself. ✨
In their newest song, “What I Really Need Is You,” Chantaya and Kyra sing these powerful words:
“I need truth instead of answers,
I need faith instead of sight…
I need Presence over blessings,
I need promise over proof.
I need hope instead of healing in my life.”
What a beautiful reminder that even when we don’t understand the valley we’re walking through, Jesus is still enough. ❤️
Listen to Chantaya and Kyra’s latest song—and let it point your heart to the One we need most.

"Jesus has a plan for that pain."

You've already met Grant Bontrager. Today we want to fill in the picture — because the more time we spend with him, the clearer it gets why God brought him here.

Three pieces matter.

1. Where he's serving. Grant is sharing his testimony at our prison events. He's also stepping into churches, schools, and communities as the invitations come in — Ohio, Pennsylvania, Kitchener, and more on the calendar.

Can you relate?

Sometimes the deepest prayer is not, “Lord, take this pain away,” but, “Lord, help me want You more.”

Chantaya and Kyra’s fourth song from In the Valley, "More Than Anything,” carries that heart beautifully.

The song gives words to the place where many of us have been—knowing God could remove the pain in a moment, yet asking Him to teach us to long for the Healer more than the healing. This is a prayer usually wrenched only from breaking hearts.

“I know that if you wanted to… you could take my pain away.”

Thank you to those who have contributed. We have raised 27% of the funds needed to purchase the motorhome.

Grant Bontrager was born as the result of a sexual assault. Although he was raised in a loving Christian home, he still struggled intensely with identity, questions about his past, and the belief that God had a plan for his strange, confusing life, it wasn't until he went to a counselor, took a deep...

🎶 The third song from In the Valley is here… and it speaks straight to the quiet, hard places of life.

“Song in the Night” is a reminder that even when the darkness feels heavy, God is still near… still working… still worthy of our trust. "Even if you don't deliver me, oh, God, you are my God."
These songs were born out of real-life valleys—places that the Mullett family knows very well.

Doors are opening. Churches and prisons are actively requesting Grant’s testimony—because his story is reaching hearts that are desperate for hope.

As these opportunities increase, the board of From Pain to Purpose has been seeking a practical way for Grant and Jen to step into this calling as a family. After much consideration, a motor home has been identified that would allow them to travel, minister, and live on the road together.

A 2006 Holiday Rambler 40' has been located nearby. It is in excellent condition, with only 17,000 original miles, and has been carefully stored in a climate-controlled environment for the past 10 years. Because of this, it would require very little modification to begin using it for ministry right away. The total need is approximately $74,800.

Grant and Jen’s heart is simple: to go where God opens the doors, to create a safe place for people to wrestle with the hard questions, and to point them to Jesus—the true Healer of broken hearts.

Would you prayerfully consider partnering with Grant and Jen as they step forward in faith?

Thank you so much for your support!

From the unthinkable… to God’s purpose—listen to Grant Bontrager, our newest staff member, tell his amazing story.
There are circumstances in life that don’t make sense…
But we are continually reminded—pain is not the end of the story.
Grant’s testimony is a powerful picture of that truth:
💬 “They (Grant’s grandparents) were devastated… But they chose to believe that God could somehow redeem the situation.”
💬 “Two wrongs don't make a right… and abortion is out of the question… I am here because of that choice.”
💬 “I felt like an accident. I felt worthless… I felt like I had no hope in life.”
🎥 Take a few minutes to listen to Grant’s full story. It may encourage your heart… or give you something to share with someone who needs hope today.
