Cornerstone Church of Pennville

Cornerstone Church of Pennville Formed in 1895, Pennville United Methodist Church serves to connect members with Christ. We offer a traditional church setting in which all are welcome.

In 2023, the congregation voted unanimously to leave the United Methodist denomination and formed an independent church based entirely on scripture. Join us on Sunday morning for fellowship at 10:00, and for worship service at 10:30!

Concannons is open and so is fellowship at the Corner. Chip and Kennedi are our host and hostess at 9:30 Sunday, September 6. Jack will share with us Gods word from the book of Colossians at 10:30.
Rooted in God’s Unchanging Promises

Isaiah 40:8 assures us, “The grass withers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever.” God’s promises are a foundation we can trust, no matter what changes around us. When life feels uncertain, His Word remains steady, offering hope, guidance, and assurance. His promises remind us that He is faithful to complete what He has started in us. Being rooted in His promises means holding fast to His truth, letting it anchor us through life’s storms, and finding peace in His unchanging nature. Stand firm in the promises of God today. Let His unshakable Word strengthen your faith and give you confidence for the days ahead.

At the corner....get your spiritual engine working right starting with Sunday School, August 30, at 9:30 am.. Jack will continue to share God's word in Colossians at 10:30 concluding with communion.

“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt, so that you may know how you ought to answer each person.” ~ Colossians 4:6
We’re called to be gracious with our speech. This is often overlooked these days, isn’t it? In a world of digital distraction and online communication, we can often forget this call to be kind and loving with our words. Recognize that your words hold immense power, and they can be used for good or for evil. Notice, the call isn’t to be gracious sometimes, but always. We can’t pick or choose when to treat others with kindness and respect. No, this must be our character at all times, despite what we may be feeling at the time.

Quiet Witness
“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt.” — Colossians 4:6
The weekend invites slower steps and gentler words. You may never know who God places behind you today someone watching how you respond, how you love, how you speak hope without raising your voice. A simple act of kindness can echo longer than a sermon.Let your faith be seen in patience, compassion, and courage, trusting God to use even the smallest message to reach a weary heart.
Prayer: Lord, use my words and actions today to quietly point others to Your love.

Grace Shines
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you.” — Numbers 6:24–25
On this day, rest in the truth that His grace covers you fully. Not earned, not chased, but freely given. Even in small moments, His light shines through you. Walk in that grace today with quiet joy and steady faith. Let your life reflect His goodness wherever you go.
Prayer: Lord, help me walk in Your grace today and reflect Your light in all I do.
