We've been a busy group! So far we have 25 completed hat and scarf sets, plus 38 hats that still need scarves. We're also looking for travel sized personal hygiene items to complete our winter blessing bags. We want to thank everyone for the wonderful donations that we've received so far.💜

Good evening everyone. I'm sorry I haven't posted much lately. It's been a bit crazy around here. Just a reminder, our next meeting will be on Tueaday, September 12th at 7pm. I'd like to get the the hats and scarves packaged up, so we can see how many we have, and if we think we need more. Have a blessed Monday. 💜

I would like organize, and take inventory at our September meeting. If everyone could bring a box of one gallon Ziploc bags so we can start packaging the hats and scarves as well as our prayer shawls, I would really appreciate it. Thank you--Dani

I would like some input from everyone. Once we finish our hats and scarves and deliver them, we'll need a project. Should we focus on prayer shawls, and find places to deliver them to, or find another charity that we could help with something other than shawls?

Our ladies have been very busy making hats and scarves for the homeless. We are blessed to have such a talented group.

Good afternoon everyone. I found a checklist for the blessing bags for the homeless. I would really like to start getting them made, since the cooler weather will be here before we know it. Please, share the checklist with your friends, and family so we can start collecting the necessary items. --Dani

Our prayer shawl ministry is working hard, and growing every month. We are currently working on winter care packages for the homeless, as well as hats and scarves for children in need. The care packages for the homeless will include personal care items, as well as a hat and scarf. We would like to help as many people as possible, but we can't do it without you.
We are looking for the following items:
Travel size soap, shampoo, conditioner,deodorant, and lotion, as well as wash cloths. We could also use the gallon size ziploc bags for packaging.
We are also looking for yarn donations to make the hats and scarves. Check your attics and closets. If you would like to purchase yarn to donate, Red Heart Super Saver is economical and a favorite of our members.
Any donations can be dropped of during our regular monthly meeting, or left on the table in Dani's Sunday school room. Please label the donations "prayer shawl ministry".

We had another wonderful meeting of our prayer shawl ministry this evening. It was so nice to see a few new faces. We decided that for now, our main focus will be hats and scarves for those in need. We will be making hats and scarves for the homeless, as well as children. If you knit or crochet, and would like to make hats and/or scarves, we will gladly accept them. We are also accepting donations of yarn if anyone has some tucked away that needs a home.
